Several Frederick County school board members earlier this month voted to oppose offering a comparative religion course for fear that students would be exposed to witchcraft and Satanism.

"I don't think that's the kind of course we want to provide," said board member Daryl A. Boffman. "I don't think we should introduce those elements to students. It may encourage them to look into it further. I don't want the school system to be the spark."

that's possibly the worst thing I've ever heard (well obviously not...I apposlogise for the hyperbole)...as well as exposing them to "those elements" they are also not exposing them to alternative ideas and beliefs and limiting their imaginination and so forth...oh well....poor kids

We criticise Saudi Arabia for prohibiting churches, synagogues and the preaching of any religion other than Islam. How is this any different?

Is the purpose of education indoctrination? We claim education instills knowledge and critical thought, and that these are desirable. Then someone comes up with this kind of crap!

If Cristianity can't stand on its own two feet, let it fall.
