Sitting down to pee

One blessing men take for granted is the ability to pee standing up with pants on. Do any of you ladies do that?

After surgery on the urethra, i had to pull my pants down and sit to pee cos the urine would spray north, south, east, and west...it really was a drag. :(

Urinating is something we do a lot each day and sometimes outdoors, and it's nice to do so with pants on and not having to sit.

Also, be grateful you can urinate. You don't know how wonderful a thorough emptying of the bladder is till your tubes are blocked with scar tissue and the bladder is full 24/7. It is hell, and without modern technology would have killed me slowly and miserably.

Also, having a period doesn't sound fun. After various injuries and surgeries I was urinating blood and clots, having bloody discharges, and wearing depends drenched in blood. That is what happens when I have my period :p and I would not wish it on my worst enemy.

Having a penis can be a drag too when it starts doing all your thinking for you. :D

Also, testosterone can ruin a person...

Despite the benefits of peeing with pants on, being a male can still be a curse in ways. We are a lot more likely to wind up in prison and we kill ourselves and others more often.

With that and other statistics in account, Im not in any way suggesting men are on average more fortunate.

But peeing with the pants up is still a plus :)

Had a period of time when it was impossible to do it otherwise than sitting down, a bit like your situation temporarily.

Testosterone isn't as bad as some people make it out to be. Having it out of whack for what your body's balance is can be a problem. Deficiency or too much is never good.

But maybe if us guys were truly charitable, we would sit down to pee to not wizz on the seat

I've lived in a lot of community settings, and urine on the toilet seat was one of the most frequent issues brought up.

You might want to give that some thought.

Thank you, that is very good advice. Glad you thought it, wrote it, published it AND glad I read it.

I should indeed. Good quote. :)

On the other hand, I think being able to pee standing with pants up is a luxury many people don't appreciate, and so might be worth mentioning, for the sake and stirring up a little gratitude *shrug*

There are a number of devices sold so that women can pee standing up. My wife uses one when camping or using a nasty filling station restroom.

Her words "Best Device EVER".

She also used it in China....didn't have to worry about squat toilets.

Squat toilets are the WORST. I have had the unfortunate "pleasure" of having to use them. Yes it comes out much nicer, since it's probably what you should be doing when you go to the brown bowl. But I didn't enjoy the experience.

Good words in other circumstances but I see this thread as a "public service announcement"

The thread title is a give away, people are free to ignore bit or read it. Im glad i read it because my hubby has recently been operated on for prostate cancer, and has had to go through similar contortions to pee. Including catheter, pads and electro therapy.

There's also Proverbs 29:11 "A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards."

Partly wise I think. The real wise does not keep it in = holding on to it, which seems unwise to me

Right, the wise man will listen and weigh the situation or conversation and not speak until he knows enough to speak. Hence the "keepeth it in till afterwards." The Tao Te Ching also says "He who knows, does not speak. He who speaks, does not know." I'm not sure I entirely agree with that, but it's a good starting point. :)

I do love these wise sayings.
If "The Tao te Ching" says this, I believe it must be true. It is a well known scripture, very ancient. This sort I trust quite well.
So thinking now about it my first thought is "If you really know, you do not speak. That is obvious, because the truth can never be explained in words. Only in silence the voice of God = truth, can be heard". So yes it totally makes sense. Thanks for sharing. I never before read something from "The Tao te Ching". Probably this is the only thing needed, because it gives us the key how to find the truth. Great scripture.

Understandably that in China proselytizing is not allowed. They know it's better not to utter falsehood, and now we just learned "He who speaks does not know". And Russia next to China. I understand now that Putin also decided to stop this proselytizing. All puzzle peaces now found. Only 1 thing left.
