Why don't Christians witness for Jesus and their God?

Miracle

Christian
I think you confuse judging with " knowledge you SHALL be judged by". Grace from the Father is how we are saved. This is to say that the Father knows our weakness to flesh desires and understands and is patient. Thus Christ didn't judge the flesh (desires) at work within us, The Jews judged by the "Law" of flesh. Not to perform adultery physically means they didn't sin. Jesus taught that the dwelling on the thought alone (even though not performed physically) was sin. No Jew could be considered sinless by keeping a law physically.

It was this knowledge that we are to judge ourselves, but not others. Judge not, lest ye be judged.

Sorry. I do not accept the orthodox premise. To remove the splinter from their brothers eye, while their own eye has a beam within it.

As "truth", Jesus exposed the liar (devil, Demiurge) that the Jews had been following. That's not judging. It is giving the "bread" (knowledge) of the true Father. John 6:32

Judgment is "the faculty of being able to make critical distinctions and achieve a balanced viewpoint; discernment". To judge is to discern what is right from what is wrong. Salvation/grace comes first from judgment. The sinner understands that they live in sin, that their actions and speech are a reflection of the state of their heart, and they desire to change (they've judged themselves according to the standard of God; that those things they did were wrong). That confession of sin and believe that Jesus Christ can make them clean (along with God's approval and forgiveness) leads to salvation. Their sins have been washed clean and they are expected not to go back (just as a thief, who is freed from jail, is expected not to steal again).

God knows our sins (weakness and sin are two different things) and has dealt with that problem on the cross taking away that sinful nature and giving us the nature of God. When Jesus Christ enters into our hearts, we are not the same anymore, we hate sin and live a life governed by Jesus Christ that lives in us. We are called the sons of God.

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelations 3:20).

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17).

"Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not" (1 John 3:1).

As a Christian, you are commanded to judge, to discern what is right and wrong. I say, Christian, because it means you've been cleansed from sin and you do not live the life you used to; you are changed. Therefore, you are able to judge.

"Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye" (Matthew 7:5).

"Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment" (John 7:24).

"Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?" (1 Corinthians 6:2-3)

The problem with the Jews and keeping the law was simply because they had the nature of sin in them which made it impossible for them to be clean. Not to mention the sacrifices they made that cleansed them up until they sinned again.

"For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins" (Hebrews 10:4).

"Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us" (Hebrew 9:12).

But only by the blood of Jesus Christ can man be saved. Becuase it destroys the nature of sin rendering it unable to force us to sin.

“Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin” (John 8:34).

"But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life" (Romans 6:22).

Now, if we have Jesus Christ the way, truth, and life (John 14:6); then when we are compelled to speak out against the evil people commit or rather the master they serve we shouldn't hold back. It is only when we have Jesus Christ living in us are we capable of judging other people but when we are controlled by sin, we can not.

Hey it's easy sorry "God I am a sinner I love Jesus"

5 seconds poof done deal. No church needed got the fire insurance covered go be an atheist it dont matter cuz God loves ya!!!!!!!!

OK it's nutty don't judge the Bible by someone's nutty! Someone on The street once asked me "do you know jesus" I said "yes and he is speaking directly through me from the great beyond and says you are a confused @sshole, loser for asking.....peace" that was fun!! They paused which allowed me to walk rapidly away.

LOL! That is hilarious. Next time you hear a Christian say "I am a sinner..." then tell them they can't be a son of God because neither God nor his son's sin".

True sin is believing we are somehow separated from God. How can that occur if he/she/it is omnipresent?

I mean that the closest thing to "sin" is believing you are separated from God. This is impossible as God is everywhere and in everything including all bodies. He holds together each atom (sound like a familiar name?) and IS each atom. He is the only life that exists and is one life. Sin truly is an illusion that one has when they believe in their own mind they are somehow separated from God. Our minds came from God (as his children as he is the one mind) . He is in them and we are in him. Can we see how separation is impossible?

Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there.
If I take the wings of the dawn,
If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea,
Even there Your hand will lead me,
And Your right hand will lay hold of me.
If I say, “Surely the darkness will overwhelm me,
And the light around me will be night,”
Even the darkness is not dark to You,
And the night is as bright as the day.
Darkness and light are alike to You.

For You formed my inward parts;
You wove me in my mother’s womb.
I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.

Psalm 139:7-14 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

I find it hilarious that as I was typing this response, this ad popped up. :) The Spirit is always at work.

That's the whole essence of sin articulated. It's not a thing we do in context to a Object like a virus is a something realized. Sometimes I think sin is defining sin what does sin conclude about itself independent from itself. Is sin insane!!!!

I have had several people In AA 12 Step programs try to convert me and a few Southern Baptists in my old church from when I was a Kid all of these hyped up so call Christians who tell me Im going to hell or I need Jesus have never ever ever ever once ever wirness for Christ or God not once.

They are witnesses for they'r'e church and denomination but claim to be Christians who witness for Jesus. They think they're the only ones going to heaven and try get me intoa membership in church everytime they witness to me. They'res no such thing as witnessing just to get someone into Christian beliefs then say pray about it where God leads you and find the right church for you.

No they don't do that ever, I have never witnessed a Christian witnessing Jesus its all about church membership period. They witness for their church period.

Yep.

But I don't. I don't recommend joining an organized religion. The Bible doesn't teach me to believe I'm going to heaven, in fact I don't think that I would like heaven much. I don't believe in hell. I'm not socially or politically motivated. I don't even think it's my position to convert you. I witness, the best I can, being an imperfect sinner, for Jehovah God and the one whom he sent forth so that you can make an informed decision to accept or reject everlasting life which Jehovah offers. To me, it isn't for the end result but simply that you have chosen due to accurate knowledge.

Orthodox. If you're in flesh, the sinful nature exists. Romans 3:23

Jesus blood is the Holy Spirit. His flesh, the truth from the Father. We eat and drink of it. John 6:63

No one man can judge another. Jesus was given the power to judge after he was glorified. Not even the Father judges.

John 5:
22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:
23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

If the Father judges no man, what gives man the right to judge another man?

Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door. James 5:9

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Revelations 3:20

Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 1 Corinthians 6:2

And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. Matthew 19:28

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 2 Corinthians 5:10

I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. John 5:30

And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. John 9:39

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. Revelation 19:10-14

The word of God is balanced.

That is a very invalid statement.

Jesus did Judge.

I’m fact we see judgement dished out particularly when speaking to the Pharisees.

“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.” Matthew‬ ‭23:14‬

“Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?” Matthew‬ ‭23:33‬

Jesus literally called them fools, blind guides, hypocrites, vipers, murders, etc. So let’s not pretend that Jesus didn’t judge.
——————-
Everyone judges the only difference is that there isn’t a punishment that follows (I think that would be a long the line of condemnation).

Jesus judged but he never condemned anyone. This reminds me of the situation with the aduteresss.

“She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.” ‭‭John‬ ‭8:11

Here Jesus clear states he doesn’t condemn this women, instead he pardons her of sin. Jesus already knows this women is a sinner, he has already judged her as such therefore he says to her, “go and sin no more”.

“I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” Luke‬ ‭5:32‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Levi, who was a publican/tax collector, Jesus called a sinner. In fact, Jesus distinguished two people in the world the righteous and the sinner.

“I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:24‬ ‭

This verse here is a perfect example of what Christians ought to tell people. If you do not believe and continue in Jesus Christ’s word then you will go to hell.

You know what else Jesus said within this same chapter?

“I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.” ‭‭John‬ ‭8:26‬

And what of this:

“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:44‬

Does it actually say Jesus was speaking in those verses or are we adding words where they don't exist?

One of the things that God really opened my eyes on is the true (hidden) meaning of the word "kai" translated to "and" in English. "And" is much more than we realize as it's actually an "ai" (Natural life/intelligence) joined with "k" (OT dust). It is part of the very atonement which is both the Lords flesh and ours.

"KAI" by itself would be a natural animal or the "beast"/body we are all wrapped in. It is natural flesh that can do nothing but "miss the mark" (mis-judge). It is part of the things we see that are constantly being "generated" and "consumed" or "die". It is also part of the OT Levitical atonement that God gave to us all (his body). The more we mess up, the more it is consumed and vice-versa. It's perfect.

I am looking at (original words) of John 8:11 and I see the "command" at the end is to "kai" no-not-still be-missing. The Greeks called "missing the mark" (hamartia) to not form the right judgment. In other words, "Kai" (fleshly, natural part of our being) has not formed the right judgment/conclusion. Why? It can't, its in the dark. This is why he immediately says "I am the light (understanding) of the world" in the next verse and specifically mentions "ones not following me will walk in darkness (mis-judgment/missing the mark/hamartia).

Once "I AM" (light of the world lighting every man) entered the body of flesh (and/kai), that being was no longer an animal but became a human being.

I agree that we are all judging all the time. Much of this judgment is not "right" (Godly) but is "left" (fleshly/darkness) and thus "consumes" us/and/kai in God's holy fire. "And" (natural outer body or "animal") will be and is being down burned to fire. John 15:6. This will and does even now daily reveal our true (hidden) spiritual being that is a son of God.

Blessings.

Hi,

I did look at the verses and most of them do not specifically say Jesus said them. If it doesn't say he said them or even list his name in the verse, aren't we making assumptions then?

Additionally, there are 3 different names/words for English "Jesus". iEsoun, iEsous and iEsou

People will be astounded to find out that iEsoun and iEsou never speak a word in all of the New Testament. All speaking is done by iEsous.

Also, iEsous is the one who died (or is dying) at the cross. Do we live and by our words we speak (and think)?

I did look at the verses and most of them do not specifically say Jesus said them. If it doesn't say he said them or even list his name in the verse, aren't we making assumptions then?

To answer your question, I've copied and pasted all the verses I used. For the sake of this conversation, I will add context, highlight when Jesus is speaking and bold where it says, "Jesus said" or "He said". For "He said", I will reference the verse where Jesus begins to speak. Finally, I will place the verses I used in parenthesis so you don't forget which one was referenced.

1. As you know, Jesus Christ interacted with the Jews throughout his time on earth, therefore, there is a lot of dialogue between Jesus and the people. In Matthew 23, the first two verses begin with,

Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, Saying The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: .... (“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.” Matthew‬ ‭23:14)...(“Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?” Matthew‬ ‭23:33‬)

Jesus doesn't stop speaking until the next chapter.

2. In John 8, the Pharisees bring an adulteress before Jesus Christ trying to corner Him. This chapter is filled with discourse between the Pharisees and Jesus Christ.

(“She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.” ‭‭John‬ ‭8:11)... 23 And he said (John 8:20-21) unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. (“I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.” ‭‭John‬ ‭8:24‬‭) 25 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning. (“I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.” ‭‭John‬ ‭8:26)‬...42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. 43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.(“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” John‬ ‭8:44‬)

If you are confused, the verses I selected are all from Jesus Christ's turn in the conversation. If you read the chapter, the Pharisees ask Jesus a question, Jesus responds, the Jews then respond, Jesus responses, the Jews follow, then Jesus responds. The verses I selected were taken from Christ's turn in the discussion.

3. Jesus speaks to the Jews who inquired after his meal with Publicans and sinners.

31 And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. (“I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” Luke‬ ‭5:32‬) 33 And they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees; but thine eat and drink?

Hope this helps!

God bless!
