they aren't jesus' teachings. they are god the Father's
Jesus gave them this answer: "Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.
so then if the Father was in Jesus, where do you suppose everyone else's father is?
John 14:20
At that day you shall know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.
God is omnipresent in everything and everyone
Seems to me God has his 'own home location' according to 1 Kings 8:39; 1 Kings 8:49

I notice at John 17:11; John 17:21-23 Jesus prays we all be one as he and his Father are one.
Surely, Jesus was Not praying we all be God.
Rather, we can all be one in purpose, unity, faith, goal, etc.
So, that makes it easy to understand John 14:28 that God is greater than Jesus - John 10:29 A.

sounds like the writer is attempting to designate where god should dwell.

isaiah and jeremiah had a different point of view.

Isaiah 66:1 and Jeremiah 23:23

the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts.

example of the blind men and the elephant parable.

6 men have ten different views of an elephant; which one is correct?

the seventh view that they are all correct to some degree and from their experience in space/time.

I don't see a difference from 1 Kings 8:39; 1 Kings 8:49 because at Isaiah 66:1 it compares heaven as God's 'throne' along with earth is His 'footstool'. 1 Chronicles 28:2 B; Psalms 132:7 figuratively describes that ancient temple.
So, located on earth that temple served as the center of pure worship, and as Isaiah 60:13 B says God will make the place of His feet ( footstool earth ) as a glorious or paradisical earth.

I find Jeremiah 23:23-24 is in connection to having contact with God. God is only a prayer away.
We are assured at Acts of the Apostles 17:27 that God is Not far off from us. Only a prayer away.
We seek God through prayer and Zephaniah 2:3 gives us conditions to be met.

that literally means, whatever god is, god occupies all of heaven and earth.

and then yet he turns around and agrees with isaiah

"But will God really dwell on earth? The heavens, even the highest heaven, cannot contain you. How much less this temple I have built!

you either face god inward by a change of a humble heart or you become haughty and turn your back, or backwards against god.

12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? 13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

............................

17 But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them; 18 I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.
