Jesus is a Joke

Whether you believe in him or not why say this?

Jesus sounds like the guy I can sit around the bond fire to get knowledge from.
You still can..

God isn’t mute... He didn’t speak then and not now... He has always been speaking, we’re the one’s not listening... After all God is our Father, and what Father doesn’t speak to His child? “And this is life, that you may know Him”- and that word “know” is experientially know Him. We can have relationship with God through Jesus Christ. And God doesn’t just speak through a book; He speaks through visions, dreams, a still small voice, an audible voice, angelic visitations, encounters and more... Just be alone with Jesus and commune with Him, talk to Him and let Him talk to you, and let Him reveal things to you: for it says “ask and you shall receive” and wait for Him to answer for it says “I waited patiently for the Lord.. and He heard my cry”

It’s not religion; it’s relationship.

Any chance, if the guy was real, he had any humor?

The Jesus depicted in the New Testament seems like a really angry guy. Heck, when he was hungry he yelled at a fig tree and "cursed" it to never bear fruit again just because it was the wrong season for it to bear fruit. Don't get me wrong, I think Jesus was a pretty cool guy in some ways, but the fig tree thing is a little weird.

I remember looking through a long video about his life and the only sense of humor was a part that was made up. No I don't think Jesus had any humor, but that might be because he didn't want to offend anyone for 2000 years.

Joseph Smith had a great sense of humor.

Come on man... even aetheist scholars acknowledge Jesus existed and died on a cross under Pontius Pilate. It’s historic fact, research it yourself.

Nope. False statement. And a youtube isn't evidence anyway.

More and more historians are beginning to recognize there is absolutely zero evidence to show anyone named Jesus ever existed.

Since there is absolutely no evidence during the supposed life of Jesus? There is no reason to believe such a person existed at all.

Especially considering how important this person was supposed to be.

Jesus having a sense of humor?

Well, there was that one time, when he took whips and chains to a legitimate business, who were simply providing a convenience for the people.

I'm speaking of the single story where Jesus interacts with a capitalistic venture. Some clever men were making a nice living off of the gullible and the lazy. Isn't that how capitalism works best?

Now, smart folk knew that the Temple only accepted Proper Jewish coin, and took pains to ensure they had the Proper Coin before coming into town.

But a lot of folk, simply couldn't be bothered to learn how the system worked, or they were just too lazy or whatever. So these helpful men set up a nice ATM right there in the front court. What could have been nicer of them?

And then along comes Jesus-- depriving people of gainful employment, and also making it that much harder for the little people to pay proper sacrifices. Indeed, post-Jesus? Many had to just give up sacrificing all together and go home un-redeemed.

That Jesus. What a guy!

The thing is I do not think Jesus is God.

Did you even watch the video? It talks about the evidence for Jesus in history outside of the bible; The man Jesus is mentioned in the writings of many historians, most who are not christians. The argument that Jesus never existed is a new one because of the gap of time, but for the longest time people knew He existed they just didn’t believe in His divinity. Bart Ehrman, a famous aetheist scholar said, “whether we like it or not Jesus certainly existed”. He also says in His book, “ one of the most certain facts of history, is that Jesus was crucified on orders of the Roman prefect of Judea, Pontius Pilate”. Other aetheist scholars like Joseph Hoffman, Gerd Lüdemann, john dominic grossan, Michael Grant, ed parish sanders, Geza Vermes, George Wells and many more agree. In fact a lot of them think that those who deny Jesus ever existed are silly and deluded.
So look it up yourself.

Alright then call on the name of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. If you ask Him to reveal Himself with a sincere heart, He will reveal Himself to you, that’s a promise.

him revealed, know for thyself.

1 Corinthians 13:12
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

Luke 11:52
Woe unto you, lawyers! for you have taken away the key of knowledge: you have entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in you hindered.

he was also reputed to have lived with the essenes for some time, who kept no written records.
Who are you talking about? The Essenes did not live contemporaneously with Pythagoras nor Socrates. But the Essenes, who wrote the Dead Sea scrolls, clearly left written records.
