Biblical prophesy

Then they are not evidence for anything. Christians often try to use the fulfilled prophecy argument, now you have admitted that it is unreliable.

What do you want? You trust overmuch on the wisdom of mankind and the wise men of this world. Ever seen the movie "They Live"? Spiritually speaking the world is like it.

So if you want the truth then you tell me how you would go about getting it?

Yes, for you it will never be right... and we understand that. But since there were dozens of prophecies about Jesus, it still makes you veiwpoint quite mute.
For any rationally thinking person it is not right. But go ahead, see if you can find any actual prophecies that Jesus fulfilled.

You are making the error of assuming the Bible is true. Try approaching it from a neutral point of view.

No, I am not. I am merely noting that every prophecy that I have investigated has failed. Your inability to support any of them confirms my findings.

It is self evident in the four gospels... you don't have to take my word for it.
I know it is frustrating when you can't properly support your claims. That is never an excuse to use improper debating techniques. Perhaps you should reexamine your beliefs. You seem to understand that prophecies do not hold up to scrutiny. Do you really need fulfilled prophecy to be a Christian?

I applaud how you actually seem to try to find out if the scriptures are true. However you're resisting the Spirit of wisdom. So you want us to show you what you're not even letting God show you. That's not going to work because only God can change a heart.

Proverbs 4:5-7 Amplified Bible (AMP)
5
“Get [skillful and godly] wisdom! Acquire understanding [actively seek spiritual discernment, mature comprehension, and logical interpretation]!
Do not forget nor turn away from the words of my mouth.
6
“Do not turn away from her (Wisdom) and she will guard and protect you;
Love her, and she will watch over you.
7
“The beginning of wisdom is: Get [skillful and godly] wisdom [it is preeminent]!
And with all your acquiring, get understanding [actively seek spiritual discernment, mature comprehension, and logical interpretation].

Please, no false charges. That is a breaking of the Ninth Commandment. If your beliefs are correct you should be able to support them.

This redefinition of "prophecy" is used when one understands that biblical prophecies fail quite often.
Again, the biblical (and ecclesial) POV is what prophecy is, because these are the sources for the Office. And the biblical language is highly metaphorical. To use fulfillment of literal, historic events as proof of the legitimacy of the prophecy is to miss the whole point of the prophecy. Prophecy is not intended as either factual reporting, science, or magic. To spend time and energy trying to figure out which have “passed” and which have “failed” is to waste time chasing down rabbit holes. Prophecies convey theological ideas and messages from the perspective of a particular historic and cultural context, and need to be understood from that context in order to understand what’s being communicated. Again: it’s theological exegesis to be understood, not a magic act to be debunked.

Do I really need any? You do not seem to realize that claiming the Exodus is real puts a huge burden of proof upon you. All I need to do is to point out that such a migration would have left massive evidence and there does not appear to be any. A lack of evidence can be evidence against.
From my understanding of biblical archaeology, there is simply nothing in the archaeological record to show that ancient Palestine was ever invaded and settled by any outside culture. The stories of Israel entering the promised land and beating back the “ites” are completely mythic. Moreover, there’s nothing in the record to indicate that there was ever a large, foreign, Hebraic culture present in Egypt. There was no exodus, according to that record.

ROFL... like I said, we understand that nothing we say is changing your position. That's why you need to approach with a neutral viewpoint.
You have only provided links to bogus sources so far. You have not even attempted to defend your myths.

It's good to see you have enough faith to call the commandments as witness. (jk :D)

However, I'm not trying to be mean here at all ... I'm speaking in brotherly love. Nor am I trying to bring false accusations.

However, how can I be lying? Wisdom is justified of her children. (Luke 7:35)

Romans 8:7
because the mind of the flesh [is] enmity to God, for to the law of God it does not subject itself,

No faith on my part, merely a recognition that you are not following the rules of your own Bible.

Let's try to keep the quotations from your book of myths to a minimum. Your abuse of it is far from "Christian" .

How can you grasp the scriptures while resisting the One who inspired them?

You don't need to believe the Bible to understand it. In fact believing it is often counterproductive. I have seen believers go to ridiculous lengths to explain away errors in the Bible, instead of owning up to the obvious.
