it wasn't on the list.......

I always thought Lucifer was God's Favored
at His right hand
and given God's first creation.........light

there was a falling out between them
some argument over something that looks like ......us

the story I got.....one third of heaven agreed with Lucifer
and one third of heaven fell.....losing their positions

they want us dead

what power have they?......deception

the garden event was intended to increase the mind and soul of Man
we need to be that creature curious to know.....even is death is pending

we passed the test
but there was an interference

without ranting much further.....listen
weigh all they you hear
keep what you should

I grew up with it

somewhere in Psalms......Man was created a little less than the angels
it does not report in what manner

the scheme of superlatives would be my own
bigger, faster, stronger, more intelligent and greatly experienced

I apply this first to God.......the Alimighty
then heaven

somewhere it came to mind.....
I have created Man less than you (angels)
he is fragile
therefore seek after him that he not dash his toe, nor his head

one third of heaven said....Nay!
that Man is less.....he should be made to serve us!

there is nothing wrong with that logic

but one third of heaven fell
they want us dead

two thirds of heaven lost their brothers
they might not care

Lucifer has nothing to do with the Abrahamic faiths, he is NOT the Satan found in the Abrahamic myths. He is not mentioned in the Christian bible, but the word 'Lucifer' is used adjectivally as a title or adjective.

According to my understanding of the Baha’I faith Satan is symbolic of mankinds’ lower animal nature - the will of the flesh, and has as much power as the animal nature has.

Lucifer is in the Latin christian Bible.

Lucifer as a deity is not mentioned in the Christian bible, but the word 'Lucifer' is used adjectivally as a title. The biblical use of the word Lucifer is personifying the Morning Star of Phoenician/Canaan cosmology.

Lucifer the Roman-Greco deity is mentioned in Publius Ovidius Naso's "Metamorphoses", which was written in 8 B.C.E., the Roman poet Virgil mentions him as far back as 29 B.C.E. And the first mention is from Timaeus by Plato in 360 B.C.E. This Lucifer is also portrayed as a Lunar deity unlike his usual association with Venus.

If Lucifer were a "very general title", then we would not say that Lucifer is a Roman god, or some other god.

If Lucifer were commonly understood to specifically or even somewhat specifically, mean the Roman god, or some other god, then it's usage presents the question, as to why they would use it, in that translation, of the Bible.

Satan can tempt to corruption, but more importantly, is the role as Accuser, to get you to believe you're a bad person. Consider a donut on a counter. I used this analogy before for free will. Honestly, you have a choice whether or not to eat it. But eating donuts isn't part of any moral laws. But your accuser tells you after you've done something that it was really terrible. It's honestly just a donut. Stop beating yourself up.
