Or with the person hypocritically editing Jesus's words to suit his own purposes.
I am going to tell you what Jesus has told me. You are not going to like it.

When someone says, "your purposes" it is because he knows that there are purposes. To know that there is a purpose is to know what it is.

We are anticipating to hear what it is.

And do you tell people who, for instance, say grace as a family before dinner that they "lovest not Jesus" the way you did to Catholics?

How sad for you.

"If a man love me, he will keep my words."(John 14:23)
"He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings." (John 14:24)
And the word which you have heard, is not mine; but the Father's who sent me." (John 14:24)

He speaks by means of The Holy Spirit. John 14:26 John 16:13
Then the HS must be extremely schizophrenic since so many Christians have so many different opinions on so many different aspects of Christian theology. Also, the gospels have it that the HS will guide the "Church", so which church do you think that is?

To me, if there is a "Holy Spirit"/"Spirit of God", it likely must manifest itself in other ways, such as with Spinoza's belief that God is "Nature"-- not to say that this is right, however. IOW, to study Nature is to study God, which is also where Einstein was coming from.

Christian does not mean for and with Christ.

The Church is Christ. There are very few members of the body of Christ. You know that! Just please, put two and two together.

It's a shame that anti-Catholic bigotry is still alive and kicking, so how exactly is your statement in any way a reflection of your supposed "Embracing the teachings of Christ"?

And, just for the record, I ain't a Catholic, but I detest the rather nasty labeling you've used for an entire denomination that's been around for almost 2000 years. Are you going after Judaism next? How about Islam? Hinduism?

One only has to take a look at how Jesus responded to the religious pharisees of the day to tell you how He would have responded to the Pope.

There are some great books around on the role of the Roman Church and its toxic influence since the 1st century, Id be interested to know if you've ever read such literature.

That may certainly be the case. However, the fact of the matter is, neither you nor I are Jesus, I assume. Religious hypocrisy exists even among the *cough* Universalists and among the atheists. Many Popes tried to lead the best they could. Pope John Paul tried to stand against the Nazis and later the communists. On the other hand, there are also weak Popes like *cough cough cough* our current Pope *cough*EUpuppet*coughcough* Francis, allowing Muslim spread throughout Europe.

The problem is not that religion is toxic, the problem is that the idea that a person (Dalai Lama either) is holy is absurd. Human beings are not holy. Human beings are human.

Out of curiosity: what do you think Jesus said about motes and beams? How do you think it applies to your behaviour in this thread?

"Church"means "community", and the Twelve and Paul said that the Church needs to be "one body", not thousands of them.

Therefore, it is you who is not putting "two and two together" since you don't have a basic understanding of what "church" means in the context of how it is used in the gospels. Even at the outset, the Church was never viewed as a "do your own thing" body. Quite the opposite as Jesus "taught with authority", and the apostles followed suit, along with appointing others to take over when they were gone. The Bible was chosen by that same Church in the 4th century; thus not the Bible choosing the Church.

Yes. I agree with you about what it means. But, it seems to me* that you do not understand that the harvest is ripe. There is no need anymore for your authority figures. There is just ONE Christ.

*please, let not my vision offend you.

I am not attempting to convert anyone to anything. I don't do that. Nor am I selling anything like your church does, intimidating people by telling them that outside of your church there is no salvation. And they state it "as a definitive matter of fact." And yes, your church does say that. And yes, everything I say is what I believe, feel, and think. And your "if you don't stop saying things I don't like I'm going to call the police" attitude is very childish, imo. "You stop that right now or I'll start reporting you." That's essentially what they did to Jesus, 'You stop that right now or we're going to call in the Roman authorities to crucify you and shut you up.' He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him? (John 10:20) Call the authorities.
Just a fair warning. I don't care about your blithering.

I think that Matthew 7:3-5 is about personal defects and not about the way, the truth, and the life. Romans 2:21-23 What Jesus taught is The Way. To deviate from it in any way, but to teach that you know it and are on it is a sin. Is it not?

In my opinion.

So what do you disagree with me on? Or are you just about, "Waaah, if you don't shut up and stop posting stuff from Jesus that I don't like, I'm going to tell Mommy on you"?

"Hail holy queen, mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we lift up our mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn, then, o gracious mother, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and, after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, o loving, o sweet Virgin Mary." "Immaculate Mary, your praises we sing. You reign now in splendor with Jesus our King."

"O Holy St. Anthony, gentlest of Saints, your love for God and Charity for His creatures, made you worthy, when on earth, to possess miraculous powers. Encouraged by this thought, I implore you to obtain for me (request). O gentle and loving St. Anthony, whose heart was ever full of human sympathy, whisper my petition into the ears of the sweet Infant Jesus, who loved to be folded in your arms; and the gratitude of my heart will ever be yours. Amen."

"But thou, WHEN thou prayest, ...pray to thy Father." (Matthew 6:6)

You were marked in life, St. Dymphna, by a high degree of prudence. You sought and followed the advice of your confessor and spiritual guide. You fled from temptation even when it meant exile and poverty. In your last extremity you chose to die rather than offend God. Please help us now by your merits not only to know what is right, but procure for us also the strength to do it. Amen.

O loving messenger of the Incarnation, descend upon all those for whom I wish peace and happiness. Spread your wings over the cradles of the new-born babes, O thou who didst announce the coming of the Infant Jesus. Give to the young a lily petal from the virginal scepter in your hand. Cause the Ave Maria to re-echo in all hearts that they may find grace and joy through Mary. Finally, recall the sublime words spoken on the day of the Annunciation: "Nothing is impossible with God," and repeat them in hours of trial, to all I love, that their confidence in Our Lord may be reanimated, when all human help fails.
Amen.

Good St. Anne, you were especially favored by God to be the mother of the most holy Virgin Mary, the Mother of our Savior. By your power with your most pure daughter and with her divine Son, kindly obtain for us the grace and the favor we now seek. Please secure for us also forgiveness of our past sins, the strength to perform faithfully our daily duties and the help we need to persevere in the love of Jesus and Mary. Amen.

O glorious Saint John Bosco, who in order to lead young people to the feet of the divine Master and to mould them in the light of faith and Christian morality didst heroically sacrifice thyself to the very end of thy life and didst set up a proper religious Institute destined to endure and to bring to the farthest boundaries of the earth thy glorious work, obtain also for us from Our Lord a holy love for young people who are exposed to so many seductions in order that we may generously spend ourselves in supporting them against the snares of the devil, in keeping them safe from the dangers of the world, and in guiding them, pure and holy, in the path that leads to God. Amen.

Glorious St. Michael, Prince of the heavenly hosts, who standest always ready to give assistance to the people of God; who didst fight with the dragon, the old serpent, and didst cast him out of heaven, and now valiantly defendest the Church of God that the gates of hell may never prevail against her, I earnestly entreat thee to assist me also, in the painful and dangerous conflict which I have to sustain against the same formidible foe. Be with me, O mighty Prince! that I may courageously fight and wholly vanquish that proud spirit, whom thou hast by the Divine Power, so gloriously overthrown, and whom our powerful King, Jesus Christ, has, in our nature, so completely overcome; to the end that having triumphed over the enemy of my salvation, I may with thee and the holy angels, praise the clemency of God who, having refused mercy to the rebellious angels after their fall, has granted repentance and forgiveness to fallen man.

Oh, St. John Paul, from the window of heaven, grant us your blessing! Bless the church that you loved and served and guided, courageously leading it along the paths of the world in order to bring Jesus to everyone and everyone to Jesus. Bless the young, who were your great passion. Help them dream again, help them look up high again to find the light that illuminates the paths of life here on earth.May you bless families, bless each family! You warned of Satan's assault against this precious and indispensable divine spark that God lit on earth. St. John Paul, with your prayer, may you protect the family and every life that blossoms from the family. Pray for the whole world, which is still marked by tensions, wars and injustice. You tackled war by invoking dialogue and planting the seeds of love: pray for us so that we may be tireless sowers of peace. Oh St. John Paul, from heaven's window, where we see you next to Mary, send God's blessing down upon us all. Amen.

Dear St. Therese,
guide me in your Little Way, so that I may ascend to the heights and happiness of Heaven.

Most pure virgin, St. Dymphna, we live at a time when many are intent on satisfying every carnal appetite. Your single-minded dedication to Christ alone is providential and inspiring. Please help us by your power with God to see life in proportion as you did. With your aid we propose to perform all our actions for a pure motive, and promptly to resist all our evil inclinations. Amen.

Remember, O Good Saint Anne, whose name means grace and mercy, that never was it know that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, and sought your intercession, was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I come before you, sinful and sorrowful. Holy mother of the Immaculate Virgin Mary, and loving grandmother of the Saviour, do not reject my appeal, but hear me and answer my prayer.
Amen

O good St. Gerard, powerful intercessor before God and Wonder-worker of our day, I call upon thee and seek thy aid. Thou who on earth didst always fulfill God's design help me to do the Holy Will of God. Beseech the Master of Life, from Whom all paternity proceedeth to render me fruitful in offspring, that I may raise up children to God in this life and heirs to the Kingdom of His glory in the world to come.
Amen.

Dear Mother Mary, speak to Jesus for me.
Amen
