Slavery was a choice

So you're familiar with what folks in prison think. Ever thought that people in prison might not be fully representative of any group?
my experience with black people goes far more than just those who are behind bars.

That just happens to be one of many places that I have been where there is a large percentage of African-Americans.

I confess, that in my adult life I have lived in poverty, so the African Americans I've known, are often less educated, but I've known some of the educated as well,(including my probation officer), and the educated usually do not speak in Ebonics, sag their pants, free-style rap, or practice what has become known to many people as "Black Culture".

But I know better than to say my experience with blacks is enough to make assumptions about the whole group.

however, I'm simply saying I've met people on a daily basis, who are far better off in America than the average place in Africa.

It's just a very reasonable and easily observable fact that many sources can demonstrate to be true.

But I'm still not going to deny that there's a lot of people, whose ancestors were slaves, who are currently benefiting from the changes in geography that resulted from slavery. That's obvious!
What you seem, to me, to be saying here is that there are now a few brown people benefiting from the wholesale looting and pillaging of the planet by EuroChristians for centuries.

@sandy whitelinger ,

you have demonstrated an extremely poor ability to refute the claims you so adamantly object to.

It's really quite sad.

While I have provided statistics, links, facts, quotes, and personal experience, you've done nothing but give emotional knee jerk reactions and missused words like "strawman", and stereotypes like"hillbilly", "redneck"....( there have been black Hillbillies), not to mention, not all hillbillies are racist.

I spent a few months on a sheep farm foster home, And the foster parents would qualify as Hillbillies, and they had no hatred for other races.

it's interesting that you would misuse words like "racism" while stereotyping people. You truly demonstrate a serious lack of introspection...eh? ;)

I have provided much basis for my argument, and you have provided nothing to refute it.

I believed ( perhaps foolishly ) that you wanted a debate and discussion.

Your premise has totally and completely failed miserably!

"Few" is not a word I would use to describe millions of people... and I wouldn't call people that loot and pillage "Christian". Those are Christians by name and not by deed.

Jesus taught us to be generous with the poor, to serve others, and to even love our enemies

I will.
Compare the number of brown people living in the USA with the number living in third world sh**holes, also known as former EuroChristian colonies.

I'm more inclusive than you are, perhaps. If someone seems to sincerely consider themselves a Christian I do as well.

Not very well, you must admit. Take a look at Christian history.

This is a quote from someone supposedly close to the situation.

“Kanye is the most amazing person when he’s not acting like this. But when he gets manic, it’s really hard for everyone around him,” the source said. “Kim is absolutely worried about him right now, but she will defend him publicly to the end. She’s a very loyal wife, and her tweets and everything she’s been saying is definitely very calculated to help Kanye.”

Again, I'm just holding off judgement. I was never a fan of Kanye or his music before this. I'm still not a fan... But I take mental illness very serious. When I'm not sure of the whole picture, I just wait... That's all there is.

I take mental illness serious as well

it depends on what side of Christian history you look at.

There were a lot of Christians building schools, building hospitals, building soup kitchens, and leaving their comfortable homes to go off to far off missions where people are starving to death, to feed the hungry and clothe the needy.

Instead of thinking about ways to insult people, why not talk about the matter at hand? Are you really that afraid that people call you out on you parroting memes in oneliners as bs?

Try to use reason more in your posts and think less in terms of silly memes like "trigger warnings".
Im going to assume you made this post ironically. Nobody is that self unaware .

Of course, instead of arguing against what I said, you insult me with banal one liners.
Not like you do much else, but try to keep the level of discussion down to your level. Looking at you parroting memes and making insults all thread while you have nothing to say, and then you say this to insult someone...

Look if you want to talk about "facts", try to talk about facts if you have ability to do so.

Kanye is a moron. He ****-shamed Amber Rose, who appears to be a good person, while he married Kim Kardashian, who most people would view as a vapid whore. I wrote him off when he appeared as the crucified Christ on the cover of Rolling Stone over a decade ago without any context or metaphor. He is a narcissist and an idiot.

I actually don't have a problem with Kim. She's actually the least problematic of the Kardashians in my view. Just pointing out a double standard he has.

Saint Frankenstein,
I just want you to know I've thought about what you said.

You're one of my favorite posters and a great person!

I know it doesn't have anything to do with the post I'm quoting, but I just want you to know that you really do make me want to change and become a better person.

I hope, despite our radically different views, somehow we can reconcile, and not be enemies

I'm really glad I got to meet you:heart:

Thanks. That's very kind of you to say. I don't see you as my enemy, though. Basically, I see you as being immature. You can overcome that. I was far worse than you before. Don't focus on me as your role model. Focus on Christ. He is what you should strive to be.

It really pleased me to see you mention Christ. :)

Yes, I'm definitely lacking maturity.
I really want to stop saying asinine things that offend and insult good people.

It's just where my mind is at.

I get mentally absorbed in thinking about something, and then get really strong feelings about it, and then impulsively need to share it.

And then feel the need to prove I'm right.

Much of it must be due to sinfulness. I'm begging God to purge me of it.

Take care!
