Hi. How's it going out there tonight?
So there's a lot of weird beliefs out there. It's pretty scary.
I, for one, personally believe our world is a simulation created by super-intelligent ancient aliens.
When I was abducted the other month, I was told me why they did it-- The aliens. They didn't want us
to have their fate; being born into an empty universe.
But I was confused. Why are they so absent? I asked them.
This is where it gets kind of interesting. They said they had limited capacity for subject contact due to ethical reasons. It was a strict multi-dimensional policy that was seriously regulated. After telling me this, they removed the probe from my body and let me go.
So now I don't believe in free-will. How can I? At least in principal, since it seems we live in a fixed universe. I've nonetheless been trying to crack the system: Looking in old wardrobes;
Rewatching popular alien-movies. Trying to fly. But nothing is helpful.
So I started up a new band called "The Alien Babies". Were in the genre of progressive Industrial. Let me know if you want to listen to my music.
It's affected my perspective on things.
Like the other day I was eating Captain Crunch, and I started crying. To me this was a previous symbol of human achievement. It took our imagination and free enterprise. Now it seemed like an inevitable consequence of the so called 'alien simulation.' Still delicious.
As time went on, i started losing my ability to perform in my band. 'Was it always my destiny to be mediocre,' I thought.
very well might be.
Now they won't abduct me. They have a one-abduction policy. So now I have to pay for my own probes.
I never really found out if they had free-will themselves, the aliens. I suspected they did. It must be nice.
Physicists today say we have free will. They refer to the uncertainty principals in reference to the electron. I wonder if it was predetermined that the uncertainty principal would be discovered. Is that possible?
Clowns definitely don't have free-will. They're unavoidable unfunny.
But even without free-will, there is still purpose in the universe. You can purposely smash your head into the wall. You can purposely sleep your life away. You can purposely have no social
life. And best of all, you can purposely die completely alone. So much purpose, it's just so overwhelming.
And that's why I'm a posting this OP. Because the only thing not deterministic about this universe is just how hard this will banter will bomb.
[Thank you everyone! Have a pleasant evening.]
