Love is the height of emotional bonds. The connection is through emotion not intellect many people fail to understand this and try force the intellect. This leads usually to the loss of love because though we can emotionally connect our intellectual experiences are ours and can only partially be shared. We must allow our loves there own intellectual experiences.

Friendship is the height of intellectual bonding, realizing you are each different people and enjoying those differences there is still emotional bonding as that is human nature but friendship is not an emotion but a learned relationship.
