What does one do when they see the dead rise from the grave? (Isaiah 26:19-21)

What are you going to do when the dead rise from the grave? Do you have a door to close, a place to hide, while “indignation runs its course” (Isaiah 26:20) & (Mt 24:31) (Ezekiel 37:1-12) & (Rev 20:4)?

Isaiah 26:19 Your dead will live;
Their corpses will rise.
You who lie in the dust, awake and shout for joy,
For your dew is as the dew of the dawn,
And the earth will give birth to the departed spirits.

20 Come, my people, enter into your rooms
And close your doors behind you;
Hide for a little while
Until indignation runs its course.

21 For behold, the LORD is about to come out from His place
To punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity;
And the earth will reveal her bloodshed
And will no longer cover her slain

That's not a literal translation. Literally it says something a little bit different. Apparently, it's literally about the body of Christ who is the church rising from the dead in the resurrection.

Isaiah 26:19 Young's Literal Translation (YLT)

19 `Thy dead live -- My dead body they rise. Awake and sing, ye dwellers in the dust, For the dew of herbs [is] thy dew, And the land of Rephaim thou causest to fall.

First who are the dead, that Isaiah 26:19-21
Is in reference to ?

your getting the dead mix up with the living.
Do you even know who the dead are ?
And who the dead is in reference to ?

Matthew 8:22--"But Jesus said unto him,
Follow me, and let the dead bury their dead"

So I suppose you would say, that the dead are actually coming up out of the graves and burying their dead ?

Who are the dead, that Jesus is in reference to as the dead ?

Jesus is referring to the spiritually dead.

In the following verse, those who are in the graves are those who are spiritually dead, in the graves of ignorance.

John 5:28-29 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Being born again has nothing to do with the physical body. It is all about the Spirit. To glorify flesh is to deny Jesus.

John 3:5-7 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Where did Jesus EVER talk about rising from the grave? Jesus said to let the dead bury their dead. Being born of the spirit has nothing to do with the body. It means spiritual rebirth. Jesus only ever talked about spiritual rebirth, never about the rising of bodies from graves. The Christians just mixed up spiritual with physical.

2 Timothy 1:10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

This refers to spiritual death being abolished, not physical death. It refers to spiritual life and immortality of the soul that we get through Jesus.

John 5:25-29 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

This means that the spiritually dead will hear His voice and they will have eternal life because the Father gave the Son the power to confer eternal life... The hour is coming when those who are spiritually dead (in the graves of ignorance) shall hear his voice.

When the body dies, the soul ascends to the spiritual world and takes on a new form that best befits its station. It gets a spiritual body made up of spiritual elements in the spiritual realm of existence. There is no way we can know what that is like until after we die.

The following verses are referring to a spiritual resurrection, spiritual life, not to physical life.

John 11:23-27 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”

You have the walking dead, such as the "tares" of Matthew 13, who try to look like wheat, but produce no fruit, and will be harvested at the "end of the age" and thrown into the fire (Mt 13:40). That would be the "many" who follow the "false prophets" of Matthew 7:15. As for the dead of Revelation 20:4, Isaiah 26. and Ezekiel 37 they are the saints, who will be in the first resurrection, and they will rise from their graves (Ezekiel 37:11-12). The rising dead of Isaiah 26 are the same as those of Ezekiel 37:11, they are the "whole house of Israel", which would include the house of Judah, and the house of Israel (Jeremiah 31:31. As for the nations/Gentiles, they would be the ones following "the day of distress", who say, "our fathers inherited nothing but falsehood". (Jeremiah 16:19).

Ezekiel 37:11-12 King James Version (KJV)

11 Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.

12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.

Look you could haved saved yourself alot of trouble of writing, if you had ask one question first.

Had you ask me do I know who the dead are.
I would haved told you, Yes I do know who the dead are, the dead are, are the spiritual dead.
This is what I was asking the person who has the thread, if they have any idea who the dead are.

Let me ask you, the dead are the spiritual dead as you say they are. Ok.

If you were ask, who are the spiritual dead in reference to ?
Who would you say the spiritual dead as being in reference to.
Who's the spiritual dead ?

That's not a literal translation. Literally it says something a little bit different. Apparently, it's literally about the body of Christ who is the church rising from the dead in the resurrection.

You might want to compare your flailing construct, based on some translation by some Scottish publisher in the 19th century, to Revelation 20:4. The dead who were resurrected were those who did not have the mark of the beast. That would preclude your "Christian" church, which was instituted by the "beast with two horns like a lamb", the emperor Constantine. Unlike your "Christians", those who rose from the dead would reign with Christ, not be Christ. See Ezekiel 37:22-28. That would include the Jew Daniel (Daniel 12:13).

I would tell you who the walking dead are, but then you might get depressed and kill yourself. I would rather you find out for yourself.

What does one do when they see the dead rise from the grave?
They follow what Yeshua taught, and recognize that God is not the God of the dead, but the living (Matthew 22:31-32, Mark 12:26-27, Luke 20:34-38 )...

Therefore there is no Resurrection of the Dead, it is the Reincarnation of the Living.

In my opinion. :innocent:
