My work in most United States and 20 countries did show me all the religious opinions that have power over the truth almost anywhere. I just believe how Jesus lived and taught. He never started any religious organization, so I will not join one. However, I have met many people, including my daughter, who were called by God to live and teach just as Jesus did his disciples. No organization is involved, no special building "church" is built, and no money is ever collected, but all needs are met with no conflict.

To me, a good belief system is one that helps you to become a kinder & more compassionate human being.
Yes, in other words become more like Jesus who gave his entire life for others even though he knew he would be killed for it.

I was helping a college student who lived in my house, a 31 year old catholic nun from Kenya. Because she learned there was another religion she was forced out to another house. She kept communicating with me, "Why does this man come to my room only when his wife is asleep?" Her uncle, a US Army catholic priest, had brought her here, later punched her with his fist, then forced her out. That house he claimed was to take care of this mother who was never there.
Later that woman was forced (paid by to the college by her uncle) to sign a paper that stated I was harassing her. (She sent me messages about all of this, still hoped to come back to my house.) Then when I took another student who lives in my house I was arrested and put in jail 28 days before I could speak with a lawyer.
That poor woman treated like a slave is in worse condition than I was in jail.

Does anyone else here feel like they aren't smart enough to choose the true faith, were one to exist?

There are thousands of Religions that claim to be true. They can't all be. Maybe all of them have some truth and some falsehood?
Just pick one which promises what you want.
True or not, it'll be more satisfying than the others.

Yes - Jesus was a superb example of love & compassion.

We would all do well to emulate his example ...

Cheers!
In all 20 countries where I worked, I know men and women (including my daughter) who are called by God to live and teach just as Jesus sent his disciples. They own nothing but necessities, are not associated with any organization (like a church) and never collect money. But all their needs are met from love and appreciation for what they give.

Thanks for sharing.

It's inspiring to know there are people like that in the world - they just don't generally tend to appear on the Nightly News.

Cheers.

Not likely any news reporter would notice it. News reports stress on evil and competition. Servants of God focus only on Jesus and people who live by his word. They never call attention to themselves; that would reject them for pride.
