Predestinated ?

Terrywoodenpic

not for God but for humans:
"For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings." Hosea 6:6

Hosea was speaking to the Jews.. he knew nothing of Jesus.

"more than burnt offerings" indicates that Hosea thought God liked burnt offerings, but not as much as our Knowledge of God.

I do not know any Christians who believe God desires Burnt Offerings at all.

If God wished us to know more about himself he would have told us more about himself.

There have been so many people involved in the translations and interpretations of scripture it IS anything goes. That's the problem!

Nonsense. A God of unconditional love doesn't have to have conditions in order to love. An omnipotent God could certainly save everyone regardless of what men claim to be "sin". If God were so concerned about sin He would be more involved policing bad behavior. I think people just like judging other people pretending to be God. It makes them feel Holy-than-thou and Powerful. I don't think God is the business of torturing people so other people can feel better about revenge for sins. As far as I can tell, God is indifferent to our sins.

If to what you say is right, that God's love is unconditional, Then there would have been no need for Christ Jesus to haved died.
By Christ Jesus dieing, shows there is a condition to God's love.

If God's love is unconditional, then why will there be people cast into the lake of fire ?

Jesus was talking about Agape that included Mercy and knowledge - some type of consciousness always
had correct message ...

I think predestination means our omnipotent God knows every choice you are going to make in your life before you even make it. So God already knows how you will be "judge" assuming God actually judges what he already knows.

But if you look at it. God Predestinated us. That means God Predestinated us from a time before the foundation of this world came to be. To be here in this world.

It is not a bad thing. Not everything is verbatum in the bible. Believe me, if thats true, we would be dead.

God chose you to be saved
God did not choose buddhist john to be saved

He chose "his people" not people individually

As such, if you are not part of his people, you are not saved.

God choses whoever he wants to save by already setting up what group and whoever wants to join, is saved, who doesnt is not. Its common sense, I'll say that instead.

Like the amount of people in an elevator. Only X amount of people are allowed. Most people want to take the stairs. More exercise. Those who use the elevator, are chosen. Those who do not, are not.

It is a play on words (aka its meaning based on context not content). If you choose, you saved. If not, your not. Got chose the saved. Its up to you to be his "chosen" or not.

Without predestination (pre-defining ones destination/place), anyone could be saved. He has to draw a limit by saying "his chosen people." If youre not in that limit, youre not saved.

Those who dont believe they are predestined to be saved, may think that they will be saved just by being here. They are god's children but arent predestined until one physically choses christ.

Predestinated, means, God predestinated us before the foundation of this world came to be, to be here in this world.

The "holy inspired scriptures" are wrong because they were written by men just like you and me.

God is omnipotent.

The concept of "sin" and an omnipotent God cannot coexist. If God is omnipotent, sin is totally invented by men pretending to speak for God.
scripture is not wrong but needed to be sorted out for type of consciousness it was intended, that what too many do not understand and use it in 'wholesale' way.

Deuteronomy 7:6-8

"For you are a holy people to the LORD your God; the LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for His own possession out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth

Isaiah 41:8

"But you, Israel, My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, Descendant of Abraham My friend"

48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord; and as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed (Acts 13:48).

You did not choose Me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask of the Father in My name, He may give to you” (John 15:16).

And so forth

If you dont want to be chosen, dont ask to join the club. If you want to be a member, fill the application of grace and youre part of the group.

I have chosen my group to be saved. Only those in the group. I predestined the destination of my group members. I cant predetermine who wont be saved if they dont join my group. By default, they are not.

Haha. You just reinvented the wheel of history in one post. Cliff notes.

That's right, people have no concept what
Predestinated means.
All a person has to do, is search it out on their computer or go to the dictionary and definitely what the word Predestinated stands to mean.

It means, Pass Tense.

Therefore God Predestinated us before the foundation of this world ever came to be.

To be here in this world.

That means, we were with God, before the foundation of this world came to be.

That God predestinated us ( Pass Tense ) from a time before, to be here in this world.

God made a PLAN in the past for humans to act in the future.

What you had given is talking about now.

That is not Predestinated.
Predestinated, Stands to mean, which is Pass Tense, meaning from a time before the foundation of this world ever came to be.
That we were with God, before the foundation of this world ever came to be.

Then God Predestinated us to be here in this world.

that is hoe Fabre d'Olivet translated Genesis 1: God created a Plan in Principle what world to become.

For me, it is another way of saying 'uncertain future' which will depend on chance and probabilities.

The only problem with what your saying, it's not about the future, but about Pass.

Predestinated, Means Pass Tense, not future tense.

If you break it down,
God Predestinated us, this means, God Predestinated us from a time pass, before the foundation of this world came to be.

This world wasn't even here, when God Predestinated us to be here.

That's what the word ( before ) means

That God Predestinated us ( before ) the foundation of this world came to be.

Therefore this world was not here, when God Predestinated us ( before ) the foundation of this world came to be.

God did not Predestinated what world to become, But God Predestinated (us) to be in this world, ( before ) the foundation of this world ever came to be.

That means, that we were with God ( before ) God Predestinated ( us ) to be here in this world.
