Is the day of the paid “shepherd” coming to an end? (Ezekiel 34:10-13)

Is the day of the paid “shepherd” , those living off the fat of the sheep, coming to an end? ( Ezekiel 34:10) Is it true that the “shepherds with no understanding” (Isaiah 56:11), will actually be thrown out on their ears. Is there no justice? How will they survive? They probably have no skills, and McDonalds probably doesn’t need any more help. While it looks bad for the “shepherds” it doesn’t look much better for the lost sheep (Jeremiah 16:18). Will there only be one leader? (Matthew 23:10) Will Paul’s appointed leaders be discarded? Heaven forbid, what will happen to all those steepled buildings? Just see how long will the “shepherds” stick around once their pay check stops? And of course, the Pope will “fall” as well (Isaiah 22:25).

Ezekiel 34:10 Thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I am against the shepherds, and I will demand My sheep from them and make them cease from feeding sheep. So the shepherds will not feed themselves anymore, but I will deliver My flock from their mouth, so that they will not be food for them.”’”

11: For thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out.(Jeremiah 16:16-18)

12: “As a shepherd cares for his herd in the day when he is among his scattered sheep, so I will care for My sheep and will deliver them from all the places to which they were scattered on a cloudy and gloomy day.(Ezekiel 36:22-24)

13“I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries and bring them to their own land; and I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, by the streams, and in all the inhabited places of the land. (Ezekiel 37:15-28)

Jeremiah 16: 16“Behold, I am going to send for many fishermen,” declares the LORD, “and they will fish for them; and afterwards I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them from every mountain and every hill and from the clefts of the rocks.

17“For My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from My face, nor is their iniquity concealed from My eyes.

18“I will first doubly repay their iniquity and their sin, because they have polluted My land; they have filled My inheritance with the carcasses of their detestable idols and with their abominations.”

I think the statement is inconsistent to the scripture mentiond. The scripture is talking about shepherds who did not exercise their office correctly.

Your salary may be at stake. You might want to do better in your explanation. Ezekiel 34:10 is about the Shepherds of Ezekiel 34:1. “Thus says the Lord of God, ‘Woe, shepherds of Israel who have been feeding themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flock?’ ”You eat the fat and clothe yourself with wool…without feeding the flock” This is about the “shepherds” who feed themselves, and “have not healed”, “but with force have dominated them”. (Ezekiel 34:4).

As for Jeremiah 3:15, your timing is off. That verse is about the timing of Jeremiah 3:17-18 , whereas “at that time they shall call Jerusalem ‘The throne of the LORD, and all nations will be gathered to it, for the name of the LORD in Jerusalem; nor shall they walk in any more in the stubbornness of the evil heart”. “In that day the house of Judah will walk with the house of Israel, and they will come together from the land of the north to the land that I gave your fathers as an inheritance. Also found in (Ezekiel 37-15-27) & (Ezekiel 34:13-14) This is not about the “adulteress” of Hosea 3, the “Christian” church, who was bought for the equivalence of 30 shekels of silver, for “many days”until the sons of Israel “return” (Hosea 3:5). This is about the “return” of “the sons of Israel” who “return and seek the LORD their God and David their king;….in the last days”.(Hosea 3:5). This is a time yet future (Jeremiah 31:31-34) & (Ezekiel 36:24-26).

Again... it is quite clear... it is talking about shepherds that fleece the flock and not feed it. That isn't to say that those who feed the flock will not receive a salary for sustenance while they feed them.

So, it appears that we are in agreement. Those who aren't feeding the flock will be removed.

Sorry, but we are not in agreement. Your time element for Jeremiah 3:15 & Ezekiel 34, are all wrong. The time element of Ezekiel 34:10-13 is shown in Ezekiel 34:13-11, whereas it will be when “I will feed them in a good pasture, and their grazing ground will be on the mountain heights of Israel….and I will judge between one sheep and another…..then I will set over them one shepherd, My servant David….and be their shepherd….and they will no longer be prey to the nations ….and will no longer endure the insults of the nations any more…. Then they will know that I , the LORD their God, am with them, and that they, the house of Israel, are My people.”

This is about “Israel”, who are “scattered among the people/nations (Ez 34:13), and will be gathered out of the nations, and “bring you to your own land” (Ez 36:24), which is the “land I gave to your forefathers (EZ 36:28) & Ez 37:25). All this happens on the “awesome day of the LORD” (Joel 2:31-32) which remains behind the door of Matthew 24:33. My recommendation would to get a real job to feed yourself, and if you want to give away what you consider knowledge, then be my guest. As the “door” of Matthew 24:23 is about to open sooner, rather than later, you might want to get prepared. There is only one “teacher”, and it is not Paul or any of his appointed teachers, leaders, pastors, or whatever. (Matthew 23:8-10). Being as that you “dwell on the earth” and are “deceived” (Revelation 13:14), what you have to offer is not worth being paid for. It only leads more down the broad way to “destruction” (Matthew 7:13). Your deception is mainly by way of the 2nd horn like a lamb (Revelation 13:10), who is known as Paul.

And while there are some “shepherds” taking in huge windfalls, the fat of the sheep, such as Franklin Graham and his $640,000 yearly salary, if they could “heal” the sheep (Ez 34:4), the sheep would probably forgive them for selling them damaged goods. Example:
