Has love brought some to destruction, even at times drawn them out and to a better place?

With Love is heaven possible?

What does the word "love" mean to you? That one term is commonly used to refer to at least four or more discrete things. What do you mean by it?

By the way, some things that are often enough called "love" fairly routinely lead to destruction. Other things that are often enough called "love" seem to rarely lead to destruction and are, instead, quite life affirming.

I do not even view love as a relevant religious notion. I view it as a matter of ethics and set apart from theology altogether for a multitude of reasons. Primarily being that I do not even think a god is capable of loving us yet alone feeling true empathy for us as humans.

Love is also not heaven in of itself nor can it have any lasting meaning no matter how strong the foundation for it is. Love is fleeting but hate is forever.

Depends on what one loves, as to what fruits bare out.

It's hard to love, if it's not from the right same kind of tree.

If I could list the endless many kinds of love, maybe I would.

True love, who can find it. Who dare aspire to it. How many give up on it. How many more don't even regard or care about it.

Mercy is a type of love.

Love nowadays seems to be a symbol of pleasure. And whatever floats your boat.

True love could be the loneliest endeavour ever.

But it's the only love that really matters.

I see that some attain to it.

Without it we are doomed though.

You may not find it in other people right away. But you can certainly find it within yourself if it's what you really want.

It happens to be the only peace there is.

I believe in it.

Who is looking for love for what it means? Still detaching theirselves off it and clipped their seek to anything that promise them a grain of happiness. They know its a happiness where death marks its end. And they seem to be fine with that. Neither love comes from thoughts, words, or actions. Love comes when we realize that we are a part of its meaning. And only that creates thoughts, words or actions. Running after happiness, or disappointed turn the back to it.

Pretty much. It's of little wonder why we struggle with the idea and concept so much, as little effort as we put into describing it and using one word to describe several different things.

That's English for ya!!! I love this person and I love my job and my car and my team and my pets and this particular beer and list goes on.. In a language world that "loves" accuracy it doesn't seem to be very accurate. On the topic love!.

Nothing much shocks me here, but that is shocking. And, I am sure that it isn't true and is the opposite of what really happens, imo.
Well if it's "all about me" then it's true for that individual. But the sun rises and the sun sets independently from such nonsense I would say.

love for me is heaven in the moment that we alleviate someone else's suffering, pain, someone's hell

love is being merciful and with it comes the kingdom and the will of love, the fruit of the Spirit.

you've stated your beliefs about love, whether its organized is irrelevant from an moral standpoint. not everyone follows ethical standards but one is more likely to follow moral beliefs that are held within their belief system.

I do not see how it is shocking truly :D. Judging by our millenia long feuds and resentment of others in greater society I find it bizarre to think otherwise.

Hate is the doppelganger of the person him/herself.
Exactly. I have said, if Satan is the great deciever who is his greatest deception? Himself... That is actually is drawn out extremely clearly in ancient text stories yet we tend to see that quality independent of ourselves. I might say it's fundemental in the genisis story.

to love is to destroy what once was and create anew, 'you' are never the same after each 'love', polishing the jewel
