Apparently, the “day of the LORD”, such as in Joel 2:31, is not understood. Per Joel 2:32, it will be when there will be those who “escape”, as in there will be “survivors whom the LORD calls”. Who are they that are referred to in Joel 2:32? It will be those “on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem”. And what is “Mount Zion”? Well Mount Zion is “My holy Mountain” (Isaiah 56:6), which is comprised of those “who keep from profaning the Sabbath, and holds fast My covenant”. And what is Zion instructed to do in Zechariah 2:7 and Revelation 18:4. Zion is instructed to “come out of her”, in one case, and to “escape” from the “daughter of Babylon” in the other. What is the reasoning for coming “out of her”? It is to escape from her “plagues” (Revelation 18:4).

Who are they escaping from. They are escaping from the “daughter of Babylon” who rides on the 7 headed “beast” (Revelation 17:1-3), which is the kingdom of the world. The world kingdoms, according to Daniel 2, are portrayed from Babylon through Rome, and the “great harlot” (Revelation 17:1) who rides on Rome, would be the Roman church, and her daughters, the Protestants.

What happens to those who do not “escape”? Well they drink from the wine of the wrath of God” (Revelation 14:10), for they carry the mark of the beast, which in this case would be the mark of the 7th head of the beast, Constantine, the Roman emperor who instituted the Roman church.

And what era is introduced by the “awesome day of the LORD”? Well that would be the millennium, whereas the “Lord of Lords” will rule the “nations” with a “rod of iron” (Revelation 19:15), and David will be the king of the “stick of Judah”, and the “stick of Israel”, in the land God gave to “Jacob” (Ezekiel 37:15-28).

Ezekiel 13:20

20 Wherefore thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly.

Nobody is flying away here brother. We all gotta sit here together until it's all over with.

The day of the Lord is the sixth seal, it is the 7th bowl and trumpet...

It is the final battle that takes place in Isaiah 29, Zechariah 14, Ezekiel 38-39 (6th trumpet/bowl), that God steps in to prevent total destruction of mankind.

It includes thunder, lightening, hurricanes, earthquakes, a holy fire emanating from the throne that will cleanse reality of all evils, and then total dissolution...

Which is then the judgement seat day of the Lord, and then reality is recreated after without death, where the saints shall then reign.

In my opinion. :innocent:

Death may be in abeyance for those raised from the dead who did not have the "mark of the beast" (Revelation 20:4), but for the living, death is fixed (Jeremiah 31:30), and anyone dying before the age of 100 will be considered "accursed". The "great white throne" judgment occurs after the millennium, not before it.

New American Standard Bible Isaiah 65:20
"No longer will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, Or an old man who does not live out his days; For the youth will die at the age of one hundred And the one who does not reach the age of one hundred Will be thought accursed.

New American Standard Bible Ezekiel 13:19
"For handfuls of barley and fragments of bread, you have profaned Me to My people to put to death some who should not die and to keep others alive who should not live, by your lying to My people who listen to lies."'"

The only time one has to sit, is the 5 months of Revelation 9:5. Per Revelation 9:18,"one third of mankind was killed". They were no longer required to "sit".
