Welcome. I'm Brick! Soon you will be greeted by other people and perhaps given food images. They will not be allowed to debate you in this section of the forum. Owing to the presence of multiple religions here, we only allow debate in certain areas. It makes it a lot easier for volunteers to help with moderation duties.

Here's how to find the debate area for religious subjects: Whenever you first log in you will see the featured threads and will not see the layout, but if you click 'Forums' then you will be able to see the sections for various kinds of discussions.

Here's a shortcut to the area with the various religious debate sub-headings: Religious Debates

King James commissioned it and the Church of England approved the translation. For it's time it was one of the best translations.

Bible never meant to be historical or scientific book, it's a theological treatise.

Maybe they should put that on the cover so that people don't mistake it for something related to what actually is (science) or was (history). Some people are actually basing their lives on it.

world needs Enlightenment of Christ and it does not come from a book, so one by one we will understand what Bible is...

Contradiction, irrationality and disorder
How many people would like concrete proof if the Bible speaks in allegories or historical facts?

Both.

But the point where you draw the line on the microscopic level (verse/chapter), is where you get the denominations and the separate 'esoteric' religions based on the Bible.

It's when you get into masterpieces (IMO) like The Book Of Revelation, that the difference of interpretations of the "allegories or historical fact" really show themselves in extreme ways.
