And, he says all the teachings that they do can be proved by other scripture.

WHAT scripture says it is a human's job to make people approved by God?

Damn it!

Here it is again!

To be a disciple IS TO HOLD (a verb and a god damn one at that!) to the teachings of Jesus Christ.

How do you think you can MAKE a person do that?

Also, why not tell me where you have read that the teachings of Jesus mean the whole Bible the way someone has said it means?

I can't even get one person (that I am aware of) to use his or her brain respecting Matthew 28:19 and a brain is definitely a worldly thing but your guys think that Jesus has commanded that you put someone (who knows who?) on the holy way for righteousness.

And you wonder why you cute little Christians that I am able to write god damn?

Will someone please reconcile Bible teach/preach with Bible make?

You all say they mean the same. Please, help me to understand that to teach means to make, but, not with a bunch of words. I have already read them all. How many times? I would have lost count if I was counting. Use the Bible to prove that when God says tell it, God means make it.

To tell means to make, according to every single great mind of Christianity. I can't see. I am sure if they are all right someone should be able to make me see it also.

Why can I make no one use their brain?

It depends on what you mean by use their brain, and there are a few different views of this to consider

“I cannot teach anybody anything. I can only make them think” ― Socrates

"Why, then, 'tis none to you, for there is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so. To me it is a prison. Well, then it isn't one to you, since nothing is really good or bad in itself—it's all what a person thinks about it." -William Shakespeare

"You can give a person knowledge, but you can’t make them think. Some people want to remain fools ,only because the truth requires change". - Tony A. Gaskins Jr.

When Noah preached it wasn't to convert the people into boat builders.
When Jonah was sent to Nineveh it wasn't to convert the people into prophets of doom.
When John went baptizing it wasn't for making more baptizers.
But, everyone up to the Pope seems to think that the command of Jesus to preach and teach is for making more preachers and teachers.

An idol is anything that is held higher than God. That becomes your idol of worship.

I agree. I think people idol worship Jesus Christ. Jesus is a false idol. There is only one true all-powerful all-loving God and that God is God. God is God. You could say Jesus is God but then why do we have the word God then. God is still God.

I think people idol worship the words "Jesus Christ" and the words in the Bible as they mindlessly quote scripture to the point where the words have no meaning at all.

Anytime I see someone quoting scripture and not putting the teaching into their own words makes me think they have no idea what they are talking about.

This is fun!

It is written Jesus says, "get away from me".

Why does he say that?

Depart is a verb and away is a place. What will he tell them?

Matthew 7:22"Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?' 23"And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.'

Matthew 7:22-23

savagewind,
Jesus could read the minds of people, and he wanted to say something that would shock the ones speaking to him. They may have thought they were pleasing to God, by their actions, but Jesus let them know they were not. If their hearts were good they changed and became Jesus’ disciples. §Matthew 13:13-15. Even many of the religious leaders changed, and some after Jesus said things that woke them up, Matthew 23:33, Acts 6:7.

I don't think so. If you look at the context of Matthew 7:22 it says, "that day".

22 Many will say to me in that day: ‘Lord, Lord,+ did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’+ 23 And then I will declare to them: ‘I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness!’+

What day? Isn't it the day the goats go off into destruction? Matthew 25:41 Then he will say to those on his left, "Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels."

Every tree not producing fine fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Matthew 7:19

HE @12jtartar says that after Jesus is said to say "get away from me!" a person who he says it to can repent and follow him. But, fire is referenced. Matthew 7:19 I know for a fact that a person can not escape fire but by the will of God. To say, "get away from me" is the same as to say, "into the fire you will go." How is that not true?

Of course, but that does not answer the question,. When Jesus said in that day.

So when does that Day take place?

My point is that I believe there is no where to go "away from" Jesus Christ. Matthew 28:18

Matthew 11:27 All things have been entrusted to Me by My Father

John 3:31
The One who comes from above is above all. The one who is from the earth belongs to the earth and speaks as one from the earth. The One who comes from heaven is above all.

John 3:35
The Father loves the Son and has placed all things in His hands.

Psalms 139:7
