Who's your favorite Jew?

I'd be delighted if I was a Jew.
Look at how influential they are.
They win an enormous amount of nobel prizes , and the best seller year after year is a book written by Jews.

Jesus was a Jew and all of history dates around his life. More magnificent structures and artwork are dedicated in his honor than any other human being. His movement became the dominant religion in our world.

Many non-christians quote him and admire him.

Franz werfel wrote the song of Bernadette and he wasn't even Catholic. He promised Our Lady of Lourdes that if she saved him from the Nazis, he would sing the song of Bernadette. His book became a best seller and a popular movie.

Viktor Frankl is awesome! He found peace and happiness in a Nazi concentration camp. His book has inspired countless people.

I love the Virgin Mary, Lady of the Rosary. I had mommy issues , and experiencing her love, tenderness, and maternal nurturing healed me of those. The rosary has been a powerful weapon in my life. More miracles are attributed to the Virgin Mary than any goddess.

The 12 apostles were awesome. They chose non-violence, and to be despised, persecuted, imprisoned, exiled, and martyred for what they believe.

I love Ann Frank. She's touched countless lives though her life ended as a child. She is a bundle of Grace , charity, innocence, and virtue.

Israel is quite remarkable. All the Arab Nations ganged up on that tiny country, and were swiftly defeated. Per capita, it is arguable that Israel has the best military in the world.

Alphonse Ratisbonne is another amazing Jew who put a Miraculous Medal around his neck, and had a vision of the Virgin Mary. He converted to Catholicism, became a Jesuit, and dedicated his life to trying to evangelize Jews

It's hard to know who my favorite Jew is, but I think I'm going to go with the Virgin Mary, because I've received the most Grace and healing praying the rosary and praying to her.

Just think, if Christians are correct that God chose to become incarnate in the womb of a Jew, that makes God, the creator of the universe, Jewish. That is quite remarkable.

@Tumah gets an honorable mention, but honestly there's no popularity contest. Comparing any two is really lake apples and oranges.

Who's your favorite Jewish comedian?

I don't know if I can answer that question. I don't know... Charlie Chaplin I think.... Yes, that's my final answer :)

Let's not forget Albert Einstein... John the Baptist, Moses, Elijah, Jacob, Abraham, and Isaac

The Quran is full of stories about Jews and the great things they done for our world. Abraham is considered the father of Islam as well. Islam has its roots in Judaism. So does Christianity.

The robes the priest wears, the incense that's burned, the altar, the unleavened bread, the Tabernacle... It all has its roots in Judaism.

If it wasn't for Jews, how many of us men would be circumcised?

Jews are so influential, I think everybody must have a favorite Jew...:)

Jesus is my favorite.

In modern times I feel they are genetically gifted for higher intelligence as test scores and accomplishments so strongly suggest.

Er...just 'no' on that thought.

Baruch Spinoza. And his fellow Jews rejected him for his brilliant laying down of much of what would become the 18th Enlightenment. And why was he rejected by his Dutch Jewish community, and put on the Catholic Index of prohibited books? The usual reason -- the very strong human desire never to let our reason and the facts get in the way of the things we'd rather just believe.

The Baal Shem Tov. While I don't feel in the least bound or interested in the practices that are in evidence today, I feel very attracted to him as a zaddik, a spiritual teacher. Here's one story:

A quote: A sigh emitted because of a fellow's pain, breaks all the impenetrable barriers of the heavenly "accusers". And when a person rejoices in the joy of his fellow and blesses him, it is as dear to G‑d and accepted by Him as the prayers of Rabbi Yishmael the High Priest in the Holy of Holies.

Albert and Karl are the two who come to mind, but I find it somewhat odd to choose a favorite jewish person.
Half the world belongs to abrahamic faiths which have their roots in Judaism.

The Quran speaks very highly of Abraham, Moses, Jesus, mary, and the prophets.

If I was an atheist I would be scratching my head wondering how on Earth the Jews pulled it off. How did they write a fairy tale that is the best seller year after year after year that so many people give their lives for and live by?

God's covenant, law, and word came to us through the Jews.

Their influence on the world is more profound than any other group of people.

A lot of great choices here. I'll just list the first 3 off the top of my head. I'll only use 1 from the Bible because I have so many from it my list would be way too long.

1. Jesus

2. Gene Wilder

3. Mel Brooks
