New Year’s Resolutions

A Reflection While Setting Your New Year's Resolutions

What if this year we resolved to cultivate compassion, to explore the dark shadows in the cave of our hearts to heal?

What if we resolved to find real self-love that isn’t measured by our waistline or social status?

What if we chose to try our best every day to be non-judgemental and kind to one another?

What if we allowed ourselves to be fully who we are, flaws and all, and in that space created room for other’s to do the same?

What if we forgive and let go of people, places, and things we know to cause unrest in the heart?

What if we leaned into life’s challenges, accepting and receiving what life has to offer?

What if we're genuinely interested in what we can learn and how we can grow as life happens?

I started a serious diet and exercise program about 3 months ago, and so far have lost 35 lbs. I am resolved to continue with it, as I still have a long way to go to get to a healthy weight and physical state. But I don't think this is necessarily a New Years resolution. It's just a life resolution.

Hello, guys! How did you spend your New year`s holidays?
Did you have any ideas how to spend it? Maybe you have
any invention how to make it better?

The only resolution I made, that I ever kept, was made about 15 years ago.... that was to make no more New Years Resolutions

Everyone's going to get all deep and Philosophical... I just wanna get more healthy and lose a little weight. :D

Me too. I need to lose weight, and want to get my strength and muscle size back. I started the downward spiral to being a fat slug in 2012 when I had surgery for major rotator damage. Then I had a lumbar fusion in 2015. I started back to the gym and Weight Watchers already, in Oct. 2017. This is going to be the year I get jacked (again).
