At Fatima Mary warned about the rise of communism in Russia, asked for the consecration of Russia to her Immaculate heart, and promised that Russia would be converted.

Vladimir Putin has really brought about a wedding between Church and state, don't you think? What are your thoughts about Putin?

Russia is certainly much more religiously inclined in terms of social policy, but the Russian people don't seem to be any more particularly devout than, say, Americans. There's also the fact that Roman Catholicism, Buddhism, Islam and native religions are government-recognized religions as well.

Putin does not use scripture to determine how he rules the country so it's not a theology. But there is a strong role of the religion in supporting his reign and of him supporting the Orthodox Church in return.

I find at Revelation 17:2 that all the fake ' weed/tares ' Christians that Jesus warned about is a marriage between church and state. Those religious ones think they sit as some sort of religious ' queen ' who will never see sorrow or mourning as per Revelation 18:7-9

I find the church just thinks she wears the ' trousers ' but will be surprised when suddenly the political state turns on her and topples her according to Revelation 18:7-9. Perhaps a bad economy can make the wealth the churches have amassed look easy for the political taking.

I don't know how much power Putin has, but the church in Russia has banned some religions as per www.jw.org
Since Putin gave a family award to a Jehovah's Witness family, it makes me wonder if he agrees with the Russian ministry in banning Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia.

I find the modern definition of theocracy is different from the biblical definition:
* Today theocracy basically means clergy rule, or rule by clergy class.
* Whereas biblical theocracy is the one of Daniel 2:44 with Jesus being king or ruler of God's kingdom government.
God's kingdom (Not men's kingdoms) is the royal or kingly government with Christ as king or ruler for a thousand years to straighten out the mess men's kingdoms or governments have made on Earth according to Proverbs 29:2; Ecclesiastes 8:9; 1 Corinthians 15:24-26.

Okay, I accept correction. Russia is not a Theocracy. Putin is however quick to bring Religion and Government together and some people do label Putin a Theocrat

That is the best joke I have heard in a decade. Russia a Theocracy! :D:D

Isn't Putin a booting anything not agreeing with him?! :) Between him and the Trium'p'virate - the world will be destroyed soon. Two dictators - one who turned democratic and then back to communism, and one who is a fascist like some we know from the past - between them, the world doesn't stand a chance.

Who turned back to communist? Putin is a deeply religious leader. His church and state union doesn't resemble atheist Communism. It does resemble Mussolini's Italy.

I thought his religion was the KGB or FSB as it may have been renamed. ;) Didn't he cause the churches to teach his dogma and the ones he couldn't control were forbidden, or are under extreme pressure! :)

It is nice to be able to dictate to 'god' what he wants from us.
You are telling me, we got two fascists facing each other and trying to claim the world all for whomever gets there first?! We are in more trouble than I first thought.

If Trump is a fascist, Putin follows Fascist Doctrine more. Fascist Doctrine defends and promotes religion. Bolshevism tries to purge religion from the hearts of people.

So, if Trump is fascist, then America and Russia have fascist tyrants in control. Old dreams are being ressurected. The spirit of fascism is alive and well. Fascism was crucified, but we are seeing a glorious resurrection :p
