High

Have you ever gotten high, I don't mean expereincing a chemical induced state, although I'm sure the high I'm talking about can be experienced in that state. The high I'm talking about is when the question and the answer come together resulting in a sense of peace that can only be realized.

Assuming you're speaking of an experience of oneness, yes, I have, though I am not inclined to share any details in a debate forum.

Have you?

What? Me worry?

To the point of transcendence? Yes.

Beginning around 1988 I took a nutritional product named Matol.....
I reacted to this substance in a somewhat negative way.....
it was supposed to oxygenate our blood.....
and I believe that it did indeed do that....
.. but by 1990 I was taking far too much of it and I became rather psychic and one day even saw the auras around a flock of Evening Grossbeaks...........

I was also going through some pretty serious theological and philosophical questions at that time......
and I ended up praying about things that any sensible person would know were more than a little dangerous..........

Twenty seven years later and I am convinced that the most foolish prayers that I ever offered up... .were also the ones that accomplished the most..........

All of my major questions have been answered.......
all of them...... and the Being of Light of NDE fame......
which is who I really think I am talking about here......
was way, way, way, way ahead of me in all of my disappointments and questions..........

It is a seriously bad idea to get angry with G-d!

occasionally, yes. Those experiences have really stuck with me and helped shape my life's direction. (BTW, this is a key idea in much of Shamanism)

Do you know the Buddha?

Nearly thirty years ago I was talking on the phone to a friend who identified himself as a Buddhist.....and I described myself as a "Christian Buddhist"..... because I didn't know what else to call a Christian... who had became convinced of reincarnation.

I can't say that I know the Buddha.......
but I would like to think that the Buddha is aware of DennisTate......
and my efforts to attempt to bring people from various religious groups closer together.

Yes, and that the neat thing, something that is difficult to put into words can have an effect.

You will need to know the Buddha if you are to succeed at what you are attempting, everything must come together within you in order for you to speak about the light that guides.

I'm sorry but there must be a miss understanding, the peace I speak of can only be experienced once, it never changes, you can go back to it but it is still the same.
Going back to it counts as another experience.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.

I suppose, but in any event you don't seem to be impressed with your experience other than it has occurred countless time.
It's impressive, but familiar. I first experienced it fully at around 12, and it's been with me since. I am what it has made me, just as the sea shapes the sailor. I am what I am, and it is what it is, and it is closer to me than breath. It's the world that is remoter, and it's landlubber folks who are more or less oblivious to this sea.
