I'm mostly interested in how you are coming up with these ideas. So far, it appears they represent your own personal beliefs and have no foundation in scripture or anything else.adlemi said:Prominent Marks of the True Church of the Lord Today
______________________________________________________________
1. In the true church of the Lord, there is no man pastor/s who will teach his brothers nor will there be any one to act as leader, but in the True Church of the Lord, the Lord God Almighty who is none other than the Lord Jesus Christ is the One, the only Good Pastor himself who personally teaches each and everyone in the church and the Lord God is the only One high and above all mankind and all creations. The Lord God is the only keeper and overseers of the flock and the only One adding or deducting a member/s to the church. Nobody knows the location and status of the church members for only the Lord knows it and those whom the Lord wishes to.
2. In the true church of the Lord, each and everyone is equal to and/or is at par with each other. None is poor neither rich, none is sick nor healthy, none is humbled nor exalted, none is big nor small, but all is whole and already healed in spirit. If there is any impairment between and amongst themselves, they are only in flesh, but not in spirit.
3. In the true church of the Lord, no one is allowed to explain the holy scriptures/bible and teach same to his brother for the Lord God is the only One who will teach each and everyone among mankind and the only duty of any member is just to tell the world to call on to and to go to the Lord God directly and seek the Lord true to their heart, soul, and mind. If there will be any explanation of the scriptures/bible to be made (like in a bible study which is allowed by the Lord), same should be treated as only their own explanation and should be kept to themselves. Never at all that same should be made doctrine/s of the church for in the church of the Lord, there is no doctrine whatsoever because the Lord God himself is the only Teacher/Good Pastor and the teachings will always come from the Lord God alone.
4. In the true church of the Lord, none is boastful saying that they are the only ones to be saved and outside of their church is no salvation and they do not mingle in any troublesome activities, but rather they spread the words that the Lord is uttering to them in guiding their fellow men to the way leading to the kingdom of God.

Questions:
a. Why are different religious denominations today have only man pastors instead of having the Almighty Lord God as their only Good Pastor and Teacher who will teach them about God, about the bible, and about all things?
b. Why are different religious denominations today typically get their teachings and doctrines only from the bible instead of having them all emanate directly from the Almighty Lord God himself as in the days of the Old and New Testament times?
God is the ONe teaching His flocks today and not the bible for the bible is only a testimony to the reality of the existence of the Lord God. Though they are permitted by the Lord God to be written (meaning of inspired by God or "God breathed"), God did not tell anyone to make them the manual and standard of God that all mankind should use in knowing God and all things. God is the real standard and the only source and final authority in all TRUTH. Don't you want the Lord God to be your actual Good Pastor and TEacher of the bible which you are making equal to God by your statement above. Always put God above all things first.may said:Gods standard is in the words of the bible. the inspired original words are like a letter from God to us . and that is where we learn about Jesus and what he taught.
All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work. 2 timothy 3;16
I'm getting all of these from the Almighty Lord God who is alive and real and this Lord God is the same God who spoke to Moses and Elijah in the old testament times. Yes God is the one teaching his people , they are all taught by Jehovah , and their peace is abundant, adlemi said:God is the ONe teaching His flocks today and not the bible for the bible is only a testimony to the reality of the existence of the Lord God. sorry to butt in here , as you are answering adlemi, but i am over joyed I have found who the Almighty is , the bible tells me , Psalm 83;18adlemi said:I'm getting all of these from the Almighty Lord God who is alive and real and this Lord God is the same God who spoke to Moses and Elijah in the old testament times. But you are just speaking of the bible and not of the real One True God who is alive and real. The bible is not God and the bible cannot teach us the TRUTH.may said:Yes God is the one teaching his people , they are all taught by Jehovah , and their peace is abundant,
"They will all be taught by Jehovah."JOHN 6:45.
And all your sons will be persons taught by Jehovah, and the peace of your sons will be abundant. Isaiah 54;13 and Jehovah said listen to Jesus.
"This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved; listen to him." (Matthew 17:1-5)
because Jesus is teaching us things from Jehovah , Jesus was taught by Jehovah and Jesus is like God,
(John 12:49) because I have not spoken out of my own impulse, but the Father himself who sent me has given me a commandment as to what to tell and what to speak.
and in turn those who are taught by Jesus will teach others. the bible is such a great thing from Jehovah , it teaches us many important things that lead to everlasting life.
And Jesus approached and spoke to them, saying: "All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 TEACHING them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU. And, look! I am with YOU all the days until the conclusion of the system of things. Yes the christian congregation that is carrying on the teaching and disciple making work is alive and well , and the bible is their aurthority. because the bible is from God.
Whatever you say, all I know is that God is still talking to people today as in the days of the biblical times. We are experiencing God alive and real and it is up for mankind whom to believe and we are just spreading the good new from God.may said:sorry to butt in here , as you are answering adlemi, but i am over joyed I have found who the Almighty is , the bible tells me , Psalm 83;18
That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah,
You alone are the Most High over all the earth........... and Jesus also knew who he was and told us how to pray to him .
YOU must pray, then, this way:"Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. 10 Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth. matthew 6;9 isnt the bible a great book it teaches us many things about Almighty God Jehovah and Jesus christ. looking to the bible we can gain knowledge about Jehovah and Jesus christ , and taking in this knowledge leads to everlasting life . if we listen to Jesus.
This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ. John 17;3 yes its all in the bible .
The bible is from God , and it tells us that Gods name is Jehovah psalm 83;18 and the bible teaches us the truthadlemi said:But you are just speaking of the bible and not of the real One True God who is alive and real. The bible is not God and the bible cannot teach us the TRUTH.
adlemi said:People should come to directly with God and placed themselves under the direct tutelage of God to learn things of God and so with the scriptures.
yes you are right, God is talking to people today, he has made sure that the Goodnews of the established kingdom is being made known in all the earth. Daniel 2;44 and he uses people and angels to get the work done. the prophecies in the bible pertaining to the heavenly kingdom goverment are now well along in this time of the end. thrilling times indeed.adlemi said:Whatever you say, all I know is that God is still talking to people today as in the days of the biblical times. So, do you consider yourself to be His prophet? What do you have to say to people who don't believe the same things as you do and who also believe that the Almighty Lord God has revealed Himself to them?adlemi said:I'm getting all of these from the Almighty Lord God who is alive and real and this Lord God is the same God who spoke to Moses and Elijah in the old testament times. may said:No problem, I agree. But the bible is not the Lord God and we should put God above the bible and not the bible above God.The bible is from God
Even in the book of Exodo, it is written as Jehovah, no big deal about this one.and it tells us that Gods name is Jehovah psalm 83;18
This is the big deal this time. If this is true, there should have been no JW, 7DA, Baptist, Born Again, Methodist, Eimelif, LDS, and other various denominations today because the Church of the Lord is only one Church whose Head and Leader is none other than the Lord Jesus Christ himself. Only God can teaches us the TRUTH but not the bible.and the bible teaches us the truth
This will be much better if you have actually learned it from the Lord God and not just your own interpretation of the passages of the bible. Did you learn this from the Lord God himself as God did to Paul and others in the bible?Like his Father Jehovah, Jesus Christ is "full of undeserved kindness and truth." (Joh 1:14; Eph 4:21) While on earth, he always spoke the truth as he had received it from his Father. (Joh 8:40, 45, 46) and the way to listen to Jesus is by looking to the bible.
gnostic said:The true church is the church which the Lord God headed and this church is not anyone among the registered religious denominations of today in any government agency. For anyone to find this church, he/she has to go and come to direct with the Lord God Jesus Christ because the Lord is the Head, the Leader, the Overseer, the Keeper, and the Good Pastor and Teacher of this church. And this is what we find out from the Lord God Christ himself in which we are now in.Earlier I had posted a thread, titled True Christians and True Muslims.
Ah, what true church, adlemi? Which church are you about that is "true"?
Not with us and those who truly seek the reality of God.Easy said, then done, adlemi.
The Lord God said to us that He commanded 17 people to write the Holy Scriptures and Moses was not one among them. Also, Adlemi, I don't think God had written a single line. Each book, or letter, or hymn, in the bible was written by human, and not all of them are written by prophets.
The Lord God Jesus Christ teaches us His Holy Word without us opening the bible because the Holy Wiord of God is with God and He is the One uttering same to his witnesses. But we can ask God for the meaning of certain passages of the bible and it is Him who gives us the correction, too, of passages which were not accurately written in it. You are free to live on with your belief about how God is dealing with mankind today. And regardless of what you say, it is not possible for God to give you direct teaching from the scripture, because the moment you open the bible and start reading, you are interpreting what is written, and your interpretations are bound to be different from other people's interpretations.
As I am saying, I am alive and well and I am sure the Lord God gives us explanations for the passages of the bible which we ask from Him to explain to us.So how do you determine which interpretation is right, since God don't explain the passages to you? Do you interpret a metaphor or parable literally? Do you interpret the literal writing, metaphorically?
Not so under the tutelage of the Lord God because God can teach us the TRUTH even without the use of the bible. God is the only TRUTH and only God can lead us to the TRUTH.Here, lie the pitfalls of taking the whole bible literally or metaphorically, if a person can't judge for themselves.
But you JW are the only ones interpreting the passages of the bible to be such to satisfy your understanding and wisdom about the bible. It is not really the Lord God himself who tells you that His kingdom is already here on earth. If you believe God is talking to people today, why don't you call on direct to the Lord God and ask from Him if His kingdom is really here on earth now?may said:yes you are right, God is talking to people today, he has made sure that the Goodnews of the established kingdom is being made known in all the earth. Daniel 2;44 and he uses people and angels to get the work done. the prophecies in the bible pertaining to the heavenly kingdom goverment are now well along in this time of the end. thrilling times indeed.
And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.... matthew 24;14 and Jesus, as king of Gods heavenly kingdom is directing this preaching work along with the faithful angels.
(Revelation 14:6) And I saw another angel flying in midheaven, and he had everlasting good news to declare as glad tidings to those who dwell on the earth, and to every nation and tribe and tongue and people,............... yes the bible really is a book of prophecy, and bible prophecy always comes true. many things are being revealed in this the time of the end.
And as for you, O Daniel, make secret the words and seal up the book, until the time of [the] end. Many will rove about, and the [true] knowledge will become abundant."
(Mark 13:10) Also, in all the nations the good news has to be preached first.
Katzpur said:We are a plain witnesses of God. The Lord God said that a prophet, too, is only a witness of God to mankind and in this sence, yes, we are.So, do you consider yourself to be His prophet?
There is only One Almighty Lord God and believers or witnesses in the flocks of the Lord are in unity with the Lord God.What do you have to say to people who don't believe the same things as you do and who also believe that the Almighty Lord God has revealed Himself to them?
adlemi said:Thanks for the response, adlemi, but it kind of seems to me as if you are avoiding the question. I believe differently that the Lord has told me different things than He has told you. In other words, while we may have some beliefs in common, there is much on which we do not see eye-to-eye. In other words, we are not in unity with each other. Which of us is in unity with the Lord?Katzpur said:There is only One Almighty Lord God and believers or witnesses in the flocks of the Lord are in unity with the Lord God.
adlemi said:bigvindaloo said:How did God tell you that? Did God speak to you as God did in the biblical times?
Even the recorded events in the bible will be in total disagreement with what you are saying here. Biblical characters talked directly to God and not thru the scriptures only.
God only speaks to people that he chooses to speak to. He doesn't speak to everyone now and he didn't in biblical times either. God spoke to Moses and sent Moses to speak to the Israelites on His behalf. Jesus spoke to his disciples and sent them out to speak to others. Jesus spoke to Paul and sent him out to speak to others on his behalf.
Ephesians 4:10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)
Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
Ephesians 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
The Church is set up with apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers to speak in His behalf for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry and for the edifying of the body of Christ.
