Alabama Senate Election: Live Coverage And Results

Dude, it's not about political party for me concerning this one. It's about a god dang immoral *ss making office.

Go ahead and have 2018 as for as I care. Maybe the conservatives will have a much better moral candidate to elect.

Indeed. Maybe their next candidate won't be as much of a racist, sexist, xenophobic, homophobic and transphobic piece of **** who believes birther nonsense and violates separation of church and state. Moore really is a vile excuse of a human being.

I was switching between mainly MSNBC and FOX News tonight. It was interesting to watch both sides. The FOX side started rather smarmy and sure of themselves with Hannity leading the charge and the MSNBC group was rather analytical and optimistic even when down. As the vote changed the MSNBC group merely became more confident and the FOX crowd a bit shaken. After the results it was amazing how quickly the FOX people threw Moore underneath the bus. The rightly commented on how bad his interview with Hannity was where he acknowledged that eh dated young girls, but the asked the mother's permission first. A real class act from FOX:rolleyes:

Yeah, it's pretty sad that there are some are so blindly loyal to their party that they abide the sexual abuse of children. It's sick. It also goes to show that those who scream the loudest about championing "morality" often end up being some of the worst examples of it.

Roy Moore does not like the fact America is governed by a secular Constitution. A lot of voters don't like that either. Say no to Christian dominionists trying to overthrow our government. Separation of church and state shall not be ignored.

It's rather ironic that those who are very vocal about their patriotism are usually the first in line to wipe their *** with the constitution.

The real loser in this is Bannon and those like him who get wingnuts to run, Several times now Republicans are being taken down in primaries for not being crazy enough only to lose in the general election, That is happened in a deep red state adds a very enthusiastic Democratic party and a really really really bad Republican candidate to the mix.

It also is part of what is looking more and more like a Democratic wave election next year. Of course things can and do change, but I'd put money that the unhappiness with the Republican anti-health care and anti-middle/lower class tax changes as well as other measures is leading to a wave.

Wait I am confused. Aren't Senators elected for 6 years? So shouldn't his re election be in 2023?
The seat that he will occupy was Jeff Sessions. He last ran for election in 2014. Six years from then will be 2020. Special elections, like this one, do not change the date of the regular elections.
