When I was a kid (probably about 10, in 1970), we went on vacation one year to LA, San Francisco and the Redwood national forest. One of the things we did in LA was to see the taping of a TV show at CBS studios. As we were standing in line outside, Jim Nabors drove up in a red convertible Rolls Royce, and headed for the building carrying a garment bag with a bunch of clothes. Several people stopped him to ask for his autograph and to take pictures, with which he gladly complied. I got his autograph and a picture. I'm not sure what happened to either of them.
