Squat Cobbler....Or Better Call Saul

Some have wondered about what "squat cobbler" is.
Some have known better than to google it.
I'm here to fix that.
Watch....
Better Call Saul: The Origins of Squat Cobbler

Now, on to Better Call Saul, the prequel to Breaking Bad.....
Of course, if you're here, you agree that they're 2 wonderful
shows...among the best ever written. That's obvious.

I notice a theme in both.....they're about failure to cope well
with life's vicissitudes. Things don't go as expected for the
main characters....they go bad....then they go even worse.
Jimmy, Gus, Skyler, Walt, Jesse, Hank, Mike, Kim, & Chuck
all discover that life doesn't turn out as well as they expected.
There are so many ways to fail, eh?

Could have gone my entire life without knowing what a Squat Cobbler is. Thank God for the RF and Revoltingest's educational posts.

2 very good shows, and I totally agree with your synopsis. I might add to it that it is great example of the dichotomy of human nature. Saul/Walter are both good people at heart. They only want to take care of their family and do the right thing. But are constantly met with challenges, so they have to "cheat" a bit to make it happen. But what happens because of this? They are only met with more hardship and heartache, with only fleeting brief moments of victory and glory ever so often. The pathway to hell is paved with good intentions.

Better Call Saul is slightly better than Breaking Bad. I hope that doesn't hurt any feelings.
