Leaving Jehovah

It is indeed sad to see what happens to those who leave our ranks but can never find a replacement spiritual home.
John 14:23

They don't always go quietly and for some reason they just want to beat up on their former family members.
OK.

You can't unlearn the truth, so having the trinity debunked, hell well and truly hosed down and the grave being the place where all souls sleep....where is there to go? Any wonder they get snarky.
To whom is there to go? Goodness!

You would think that if there is a God, he would guide those poor lost and wounded souls to the truth, wouldn't you? Yet they can never unite in a positive way....they are just united in their hatred. :( What a pity.
Just goes to prove that a person will see what a person wants to see.

Grudges are all they have left.
Maybe I don't know what a grudge is.

Where else can they go?
Feeding themselves with all that negativity means that the sun doesn't seem to shine much in their world.[/QUOTE] When Israel was being warned with WORDS where the prophets using "negativity" iyo? I don't want to see the day that they come back to an Earth of all Jheovah's Witnesses. Surely THAT will be the end!

Pride keeps them from admitting that they have no alternative religion to turn to
That would be the govenring body. .....

so the disgruntled ones just stand outside the door 'weeping and gnashing their teeth'.
If that is what I am doing, it isn't as bad as I had imagined.

...sometimes for decades.
Some good news!
What keeps them from moving on? Who knows?
That is an excellent question to ask YOURSELF!

That would be a nice thought, but it is too hard for some to admit that, if you have no brotherhood, you have no Christianity. All must speak in agreement, (1 Corinthians 1:10) so if there is no one who agrees with what they want to believe, then there is only self delusion. No one can be self-taught. Jesus appointed a slave to "feed" his household....we just have to find "him"...and then gain spiritual nourishment and unity from what is served at Jehovah's table. We know what is served at the other table.

Christianity can't be a self feeding brotherhood of one. God does not work that way.
Christianity is the way, the truth and the life. Jesus at first walked that alone.

Peace to you.
Well put, my sister!

I'm so glad we're not in ancient Israel, worshipping Jehovah while dealing with all of that wickedness and rebellion going on, from the king (even the High Priest) on down! No doubt some faithful ones thought to themselves, "This can't be Jehovah's Organization...these people are too bad"! But yet, they were. Jehovah disciplined them, but they were. There was nowhere else to go to worship and learn about Jehovah at that time.

I have a problem:D:p.

Those here on the forum who appear to be Jehovah's Witnesses have said again and again that to disagree with them means to hate them.

I have given it some thought and this is what I came up with.

If disagreements are really a kind of hatred and Jehovah's Witnesses disagree for the most part with the whole world how are they obeying Jesus Christ?

I have scriptures.

Indeed. Jehovah did not abandon his people over the actions of those appointed to lead....even when they went astray. He did act to discipline them, and used it as a warning example for future generations. But just as God lost patience with Israel, he lost patience with Christendom for all the same reasons.

It is also good to note that those who opposed the ones God chose to lead his people also suffered his anger. Relying on Jehovah instead of ourselves and our own ideas is always the wise course.

We believe that the end of this system is rapidly approaching.....and that there is no other ark. If we are not on board, we will perish. There was only one ark in Noah's day, not a fleet of them. (Matthew 24:37-39) Each person must evaluate where they are because we choose our own destiny, by our decisions, words and actions.

This is for all those who are giving savagewind a hard time for his decision:

I believe that Christianity is a gigantic spawn of the devil, masterfully created by the prince of darkness, to deceive billions of people.

I know this sounds drastic, but give it some thought before attacking me. I could be wrong, but logically, it makes perfect sense.

My God sent His messenger to earth to speak for Him.

He said many things, and gave me a great deal of valuable information. Also, I believe every single word He said, and I believe every single word has value.

For instance:

John 10:11-16 11"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. 12The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. 13The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. 14"I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me- 15just as the Father knows me and I know the Father-and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd.

Who is the hired hand? Who is the good shepherd?

Also,

Matthew 15:14 14Leave them; they are blind guides. If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit."

Leave who? The religious leaders.

Also,

John 8:31-32 31To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

My shepherd says to hold to HIS teaching. I’ve been set free, and it feels wonderful. His words, His teaching. Absolutely does not include religious leaders with all their man made ideas, rules, laws, and things to do.

Also,

Matthew 7:13-14 13"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

The road to destruction is wide and MANY enter through it.

Think about this.

MANY. Where do MANY go every Sunday?

Only a FEW find the narrow gate.

A FEW??? Well over a billion Christians is not a FEW!!

Also,

John 15:18-19 18"If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. 19If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.

The world doesn’t hate the churches. It loves them, it respects them. The government gives them tax breaks. They’re everywhere.

Millions of them. The Vatican is one gigantic religious center, and people travel from all over the world to visit it. It is loved.

But I’m hated for what I say. And that makes me truly happy.

Because I know my shepherd chose me OUT of the world.

Also,

John 8:34-38 34Jesus replied, "Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. 35Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. 36So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. 37I know that you are Abraham's descendants. Yet you are looking for a way to kill me, because you have no room for my word. 38I am telling you what I have seen in the Father's presence, and you are doing what you have heard from your father."

The SON must set you free. Let Him.

Look at verse 38. He says “you are doing what you have heard from YOUR father”

He is not speaking of THE Father, in that final part of the verse.

Lastly,

Matthew 13:13 13This is why I speak to them in parables: "Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand.

He is speaking to you. It’s all there? See and hear, and you’ll be free and He will lead you home.

God bless.

For what it's worth, I too believe that the end of the old order of things is happening now. I also believe that all the different religion's details are wrong. I believe that those who welcome the dawn will have their cups filled no matter the nature and shape of the cup.

Thanks to the explosion of knowledge given to all mankind via the internet , people no longer have an excuse to blindly follow a religion. Please people, begin your journey, and seek the truth.

God bless.

I enjoyed reading your posts Gerry....

I agree 100%

I know this sounds drastic, but give it some thought before attacking me. I could be wrong, but logically, it makes perfect sense.

It is perfectly logical.....if you've heard the illustration of how to hide a 40 ft tree out in the middle of a cleared field?....You plant a forest of similar trees all around it, and in time it will be extremely difficult to find the original tree unless you know exactly what you are looking for. The devil has had almost 2,000 years to plant literally thousands of counterfeit trees....most of them in the last century. These are the "weeds" of Jesus' illustration. (Matthew 13:36-43)

My God sent His messenger to earth to speak for Him.

He said many things, and gave me a great deal of valuable information. Also, I believe every single word He said, and I believe every single word has value.

Me too. :)

John 10:11-16 11"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. 12The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Who is the hired hand? Who is the good shepherd?

Who are the wheat and who are the weeds? Who have taken over and are choking out the wheat? The difference was going to be completely obvious only at the harvest time. There would then be no resemblance. So it isn't about the similarities....it's about the differences....the often very fundamental differences.

The road to destruction is wide and MANY enter through it.

Think about this.

MANY. Where do MANY go every Sunday?

In my country, it is to their temple....sports stadiums....to watch their idols toss, hit or kick a ball around a bit of grass. Australia is not a religious nation. It is sport obsessed however.

Sunday is not a day to worship God...it never was. It was the day Romans honoured their sun god. Almost without exception, Christendom has Sunday as their day to often mindlessly attend church.
The Jewish Sabbath was Saturday but there is no command for Christians to observe a Sabbath anyway.

Only a FEW find the narrow gate.

A FEW??? Well over a billion Christians is not a FEW!!

Again, this coincides with the illustration of the wheat and the weeds. The devil sowed fake Christians in the same "world" as the "sons of the kingdom". A fake is not always recognised unless a person knows what the original looked like. Christendom is, I believe, the perfect example of the weeds. They are a disunited mish mash of human traditions and adopted pagan doctrines.

Most people have no idea what original Christianity looked like, so they assume that what passes for Christianity today is the real deal. Nothing could be further from the truth. All MUST speak in agreement with no divisions. (1Corinthians 1:10) They must uphold all of Christ's teachings, not just the convenient ones. Christendom fails on all counts.

John 15:18-19 18"If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. 19If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.

But I’m hated for what I say. And that makes me truly happy.

Because I know my shepherd chose me OUT of the world.

Indeed. But it is the entire brotherhood that Jesus chose out of the world, not just isolated individuals. He chose his own disciples out of the corrupt Jewish system back then and they were hated for upholding Jesus' exposure of the teachings promoted by the Pharisees. Christians were gathered into congregations who all believed the same things. No one was permitted to introduce their own ideas, so unity was assured and the teachings handed down by the ones directly taught and appointed by Christ were to be upheld in all things. Jesus always referred back to the scriptures to reinforce his teachings, which he said came from his Father. (John 7:16-17)

Matthew 13:13 13This is why I speak to them in parables: "Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand.

And that is why I believe that "few" will make it through the coming tribulation. (Matthew 24:37-39) If they are not on the symbolic "ark" in one united family, they will not survive.

At the judgment, Jesus will say to those who claim him as their Lord....
"I never knew you...get away from me you workers of lawlessness." (Matthew 7:21-23)

It is a stark reality that not many are prepared to acknowledge. :(

It’s interesting when you think about it......
Judaism has between 30 to 40 different sects, Islam has between 50 to 60, maybe? But Christendom has about 40,000!!

Something is going on!

if any of us who are JW today decides to leave, it is not going to be because of anything you said.
It appears to be that you are not one mind with the governing body. They say that you should not listen to apostates and that they are mentally diseased. It seems that not only do they believe you can be swayed but because words other than theirs are being called "diseased" means that they know some will be swayed. A disease is not something that you can avoid getting after contact. It spreads to whomever.

There are a lot of question the Jehovah's Witnesses can't answer or won't answer.
It is written that with Jehovah there is no want. Psalms 23
That is how I know the Jehovah's Witnesses are not real.
