Why does G-d create so much life?

There are more species of life of Earth than there are stars in the galaxy. Biologists estimate that Earth is home to one trillion species.

The Largest Study of Life Forms Ever Has Estimated That Earth Is Home to 1 TRILLION Species

Why do you think G-d creates so much life?
I believe God Creates naturally, and the diversity of lie on earth reflects the natural Creation process of evolution.

Genesis is an ancient human world view of Creation thousands of years old. Originating in Canaanite, Ugarit and Babylonian mythology.

Creation of life in its many forms was a work of love and enjoyment. God had fun and even demonstrated his humor in some animals. Aren't some of the animals just adorable to beyond the pale?!
Every kind of animal provides insight to the divine, some in the basic needs of survival under harsh conditions, others before their habitats were crashed by humans, lived in beautiful surroundings beyond our imaginations.

You said god as in single, he of the bible didn't make life on earth, he didn't make earth. He only made humans and made them to destroy. The dragons of spirit, earth, air, fire, and water made life on earth, the early life didn't look that complex yet through time it has evolved and split into many species but humans seem to be milking the whole species thing. Humans split brown anoles, and green anoles. They're both the exact same species, they can coexist but the only thing different between the brown one is the scale color which green anoles can turn brown. Life only grows, gets stronger, yet with humans it's slowed. Humans aim for the strong unlike predators who prey on the weak. Humans prey on the strong because of wanting a trophy even if it's a predator which they kill. Them killing the strongest of the environment causes the natural progress to be more like congress instead

To feed the humans? Curious to my mind that every living creature on earth must, or prefers, to eat other living creatures to stay alive. And then, if I may be more graphic, not only is all of the 'living' meal not edible, but there is 'waste', the parts that even the human body rejects, and must be composted by other creatures trying to stay alive. And this is the product of a perfect 'Omniscient, omnipotent God'?
And if I may digress, it has always been a curiosity to me that 'God' would create thousands of species of beetles, but only a few of humans...... Hmmmm............

Fatalist. Christian. Pacifist.
So what are we learning from a trillion species that we couldn't learn from, say, ten billion species? As for tools for sustenance and evolution, this makes no sense. How do we employ a trillion species to gain sustenance? And, wouldn't a hundred thousand suffice? Furthermore, species are not tools of evolution, but products of evolution.

.

Try asking yourself.

1) Why ten billion? Why not 1?
2) We don't employ the vast majority.
What is an ecosystem?
3) Are they not both? Products and tools?
Does evolution happen solitarily, in a vacuum?

Strengthen your inquiry.

That is an interesting reply!

What if we exist in the 'Mind' of God and are analogous to the planning process for a design rather than a goal.
But then I would have to blame God for an awful lot of nasty things that have happened over the centuries.

a body that can do as we do....human
needs chemical support

that support must be generated by lesser life
that lesser life is supported in turn....by lesser life
all the way down to simple chemical reactions that reproduce

Yes it's interesting that all the monotheistic concepts of God see God as perfect. Except the Gnostics but that God is really seen as a demigod.

If there was an existent God, I suspect God would be more like a scientist.

science is how we humans figure out.....how God did it

God is not a scientist
He created the universe and the manner of which it functions

the experiment.......is ......you

Yes, organic life feeds on organic life. So?

Why is this a curiosity to you?

I prefer to praise G-d for a lot of wonderful things that have happened over the centuries.
Ditto, but we also have to recognize the reality and not just wear rose-colored glasses.

Mine are more beige, btw.

I think that, while God may have initiated some sort of process, speciation through evolution by natural selection accounts for this naturally. Mother nature is an amazing organism.

Not trying to be sardonic,

But do you really believe, that God started the process, including setting up everything necessary to support life, but had no particular plan in mind for what all this work would result in?

And that the emergence of one single species in a trillion, capable of pondering his creation, making use of all his resources, deducing his own existence... all a bizarre unintended coincidence?

There is no evidence any god created anything.
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools ( Romans 1:20-22)
