Can Man know God? Or is it just a lie?

Doctrine and creeds leave out a whole bunch of truth.

Jesus is the man who is from God. He is not however, the only man who is "ek tou theou" from God.

Let's begin by establishing some factual standards;
John 8:42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came (ek tou theou) from God;

So Jesus establishes the fact that he came "ek tou theou" which is simply Greek for "from God," or "Of God."

Now, look at what Jesus said to the jewish crowds -
"He that is of God (o wn ek tou theou) heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not [ek tou theou ouk este] of God."[John 8:47]

"He that is of God [ek tou theou} hears "Gods words."

Be sure to understand what is stated; first, the ones who are "ek tou theou" (From God) hear; Hearing comes from acquaintance with the words of God. And (This is important) NOthing is said about hearing what commentaries have to say about what God really meant to say.

Hearing commentaries opinions about doctrines leads people away from God's words.

But, from God's own words, you have now been shown that there is an entirely new class of people that are scripturally "ek tou theou" *From God*.

Now let's examine another scripture to see if God elaborates on this important theme;

Look at God's assessment (contrary to Commentaries opinions) that there are other men who are "ek tou theou" from God, and who hear God's words.

1 John 4:4
(umeis ek tou theou) Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.[umeis is the Greek for 2nd person plural "ye"] "Ye are of God.."

And what did John say about "He who is from God?"

1 John 4:6 (hmeis ek tou theou) We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that (ouk estin ek tou theou) is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
["ouk estin tou theo" is Greek for "is not of God" and is applied to those who will NOT hear the words of God through John and other disciples.]

John is speaking of Christians who have made a real effort to learn God's word; "We are of God" he says, (including himself this time) and he said "We know that God hears us." Why? Because God know that you are making every effort to hear HIM.

Look at another one:
1 John 5:18 We know that whosoever is born (ek tou theou) of God sinneth not; but he that is (gennhqeis ek tou theou) begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

He that is born of God has seen God. THAT is very important, don't you think? Then why are all the commentators and doctrine tellers silent about these very important verses? Because they are "ouk ek tou theou" NOT OF GOD. They are of doctrines and commentaries.

Why? Because that is where they get their understanding about God's words.

John equates behaviours in accordance with how we react and treat God's words -

3 John 1:11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not [ewraken] seen God.

See it? "He that doeth good is "ek tou theou" of God:" And further, John says he that doeth evil has not seen God. The one doing good, *has seen God* because he is "ek tou theou" "*OF GOD*"

And what was it Jesus himself said,
(according to John, not the commentators?)
John 6:46 Not that any man [ewraken] hath seen the Father, save he which is of [tou theou] God, he [ewraken] hath seen the Father.

John says that He which is of "tou theou" hath seen the Father."

Scripture tells us of several who "have seen God" because they are "of God."

Denomination teachers and people frozen by a doctrine will deny it all day long.

What say you?

here at the forum denial is rampant
and not just non-believers

you would think....we are here to form and strengthen belief
and we spend soooooo much of our efforts banging the details back and forth

if you look between the lines.....
you might get a glimpse of what such discussion is really all about
