Questions about Judaism

The Emperor of Mankind

Currently the galaxy's spookiest paraplegic
Why? It's not like they haven't done it before. But I guess you don't believe the scriptures so I can understand your point of view.

Israel has never faced the forces of every Islamic nation on Earth attacking at once before. They've beat back the forces of multiple nations, yes. But all of them? Not by a long shot.

Nah its called reality.

Israel didn't win the 6 day war or Yom Kippur War because of God.

Especially not because of the Christian God.

I do stuff
Because God allowed it to happen.
Can you go into a little more detail? Why did God allow it to happen? What you wrote can be said about anything in life. If bird crap falls out out the sky and hits me in the eye, I can say to myself, "God allowed it to happen."

The Bible gives us detail concerning the first destruction of the Temple. See 2 Kings 25.

The reason why is because the children of Israel became exceedingly sinful and refused to repent when confronted by God's prophets.

What about the second Temple?

If you are interested in a discussion of this, the concept of where, once the temple was established, most sacrifices were allowed to be made, in what spiritual state and by whom, plus any discussion of atonement and the sins for which sacrifice was at all efficacious, and the textual explanation for what to do now that sacrifices cannot be offered, I would recommend posting a question in the Judaism DIR which would be a good place for you to learn some of these essential aspects of Judaism.

Why did the Israelis stop doing the daily sacrifices?

Here is a comment on the relationship between the first century Messianic Jewish movement with the Levites that is relevant to this discussion:

Grant R. Jeffrey Ph. D:
Zechariah 14, Isaiah 66, and Ezekiel 40 - 48, which clearly describe these Millennial worship ordinations, are confused by the idea. They ask, "Didn't the sacrifice of Christ eliminate animal sacrifices forever?"

............"Only the complete sacrifice of Jesus could ever totally atone for our sins. However, God clearly demanded the sacrifices from Adam to Christ. Those sacrifices were acts of obedience to the direct command of God, as well as acknowledgements of one's own personal sinfulness and need for God's forgiveness. Animal sacrifices covered the sins of the people temporarily until the prophesied Messiah would come and offer Himself once and for all as the necessary atonement for sin. If animal sacrifice can never atone for sin, why would God allow Israel to resume such sacrifice in the Third Temple, prior to Armageddon, and then demand that Israel continue such sacrifice in the Millennium? There are two reasons why I believe this is true."

First, the early Jewish - Christian Church continued to offer sacrifices in the first century.".......

.......Second, New Testament writers used the legal sacrificial system to illustrate very important points concerning Christ's sacrifice on the Cross.......

..... These examples of the way early Jewish believers used God's law to teach great love when He sacrificed His only Son on the cross will be repeated during the Millennium." (Grant R. Jeffrey, Messiah, War in the Middle East and the Road to Armageddon, page 317, 318 and 319)

What about the second Temple?

Good question.....
one theory is that Judaism became astonishingly divided
and slander by Jews against other Jews who did not fully agreed with them
on all points.... became so common place that the presence of G-d could no longer
be in the temple.

One near death experiencer was shown how the Pharisees and Scribes reacted toward
Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus and John the Baptist.

Selection from Chapter Two: The Death
We did not want him to die!

Yet how can I write this part of the story? It is our shame! It is my torment! And who will believe, after all these years?

But this secret has been locked up in my heart for too long.

Why should he die? We all told him of the danger. And we had seen others die for lesser teachings than his.

He had been such a comfort to us, leading us to life. Now he seemed bent on death, almost suicide. We begged him often not to go again to Jerusalem because we knew of the anger of the Temple authorities. They wished to kill him as much as we wanted him alive.

How had he offended them? By telling them of their hypocrisy. “Whited sepulchres,” he called them, and “viper’s brood.” And they proved that way. They would invite him as a guest to their homes, only to find evidence against him.

When he healed on the Sabbath, even in the name of the Father, they said he broke the Law. When he gave the people food for their souls, they said he was in league with the Devil. But when he said he was the Son of God, then in a violent show, they shouted and tore their garments and said he spoke blasphemy.

“He must die,” they shouted in a frenzy.

Calmly he spoke to them, “Will it change anything, even if I die? Will you be closer to God or will my words die? Death is nothing but a door. When you kill my body, I will yet see you and your sin.”

“Death, nothing?” they shouted. “The Law says that anyone who blasphemes should be put to death. Yes, we will come close to God by obeying the Law. But you will die in your sin. God Himself will punish you. But we will inflict punishment on punishment before you go.”

We knew this would come. We knew of the hatred in their hearts which blinded them. So we did not want to go to Jerusalem. They had already driven us out with their threats. Now we were in a safe place across the Jordan, where John used to baptize in the river.

Yeshua’s fame spread throughout the countryside and people came to him from far away. He would teach them, then we, his disciples, would teach them in smaller groups. Many learned of the Master and his message in this way, so that he had many followers.

But, as with John the Baptist, so with Yeshua: the Temple authorities also came to listen and condemn. Their followers had begun to come to Yeshua and to forsake the bondage to the Law, so they asked questions to trap him, but his answers only made him more loved and brought scorn on the Pharisees and Sadducees." Why are Christians so eager to get us Jews killed?

I assume you are referring to post #77?

My opinion is that the rebuilding of the Jerusalem Third Temple, and the miracles associated with
the fulfillment of Ezekiel chapter 47 will shift the whole world over to a whole new
paradigm.

Reverend Howard Storm's Near-Death Experience

The image of the future that they gave me then, and it was their image, not one that I created, surprised me. My image had previously been sort of like Star Wars, where everything was space age, plastics, and technology.

The future that they showed me was almost no technology at all. What everybody, absolutely everybody, in this euphoric future spent most of their time doing was raising children. The chief concern of people was children, and everybody considered children to be the most precious commodity in the world.

And when a person became an adult, there was no sense of anxiety, nor hatred, nor competition.

There was this enormous sense of trust and mutual respect. If a person, in this view of the future, became disturbed, then the community of people all cared about the disturbed person falling away from the harmony of the group. Spiritually, through prayer and love, the others would elevate the afflicted person.

What people did with the rest of their time was that they gardened, with almost no physical effort. They showed me that plants, with prayer, would produce huge fruits and vegetables.

People, in unison, could control the climate of the planet through prayer. Everybody would work with mutual trust and the people would call the rain, when needed, and the sun to shine.

Animals lived with people, in harmony." (Howard Storm)
