And a most blessed L'Shana Tova to each of you.

And @RabbiO, how long do you think your congregation will last during your sermon this year?

L'shanah Tovah, my friends,

And for the mathematically inclined,
as we count down to the new year,
it's perhaps fun to note that ...

321 * 18 = 5778

L'chaim & L'shalom.

How long do you think I will last during my sermon? I've already heard it.
Well, if you snore all the way through it then maybe they'll learn a lot more than they usually do.:D

Hey, have a great holiday, my rabbi & friend.

Going to shul tonight, but unfortunately my internship is having me work tomorrow, and my class for university meets Thursday nights. Still, I'm gonna engage with what I can.

Rabbi told a funny joke today during services.

A Jewish women was in secular court getting a divorce which the judge bestowed upon her. The woman muttered "Now all I need to do is obtain a Get.". The Judge asks what a Get is. The woman says "Oh, it's just a religious thing." Understanding dawns on the judge's face, "Ah, it is a ceremony, like a bris, right?" The woman replies "No, those are not the same. With a Get, I toss out the entire schmuck."

Just a thought which dawned on me during davening -- in the mussaf Amida, the text quotes Numbers 23:21. Check out that verse and the rashi on it and the complexion and purpose of the day becomes much more than it already is. Why am I a middle aged man and just realizing this?

Be aware that when you type a biblical reference on this site, it automatically links to a christian bible. In this case, the linked verse incorrectly refers to the shout of a king. The correct verse from the Tanakh refers to the King's friendship.

To prevent linking my posts to a christian bible, I insert spaces into the reference. Ex. N u m 23:21.
