Is All of the Bible Really "The Word of God"?

I don't wish to start a discussion about any of the Bible's short comings or its stories, but simply want to find out if everything its writers, such as James, Paul and Peter, have said come from god or have god's approval? Remarks such as:

James 3:7
7 Humans have control over every kind of wild animal, bird, reptile, and fish, and they have controlled all these things.

Ephesians 5:22-23
22 Wives, place yourselves under your husbands’ authority as you have placed yourselves under the Lord’s authority. 23 The husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church.

Titus 2:9

9 Bid slaves to be submissive to their masters and to give satisfaction in every respect; they are not to be refractory,

1 Peter 3:13
13 If you are always trying to do good, no one can really harm you.

1 Corinthians 7:1

1 Now for the matters you wrote about: “It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.”

1 Timothy 2:11
A woman should learn while listening quietly and being completely willing to obey.

I want to give you five reasons to affirm the Bible is the Word of God.

First, I believe the Bible is the Word of God because of its scientific accuracy. The Truth of the Word of God tells us that God “hangeth the earth upon nothing” (Job 26:7). How did Job know that the earth hung in space before the age of modern astronomy and space travel? The Holy Spirit told him. The scientists of Isaiah’s day didn’t know the topography of the earth, but Isaiah said, “It is [God] that sitteth upon the circle of the earth” (Isaiah 40:22). The word for “circle” here means a globe or sphere. How did Isaiah know that God say upon the circle of the earth? By divine inspiration.

Secondly, the Bible is affirmed through historical accuracy. Do you remember the story about the handwriting on the wall that is found in the fifth chapter of Daniel? Belshazzar hosted a feast with a thousand of his lords and ladies. Suddenly, a gruesome hand appeared out of nowhere and began to write on a wall. The king was disturbed and asked for someone to interpret the writing. Daniel was found and gave the interpretation. After the interpretation, “Then commanded Belshazzar, and they clothed Daniel with scarlet, and put a chain of gold about his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.” (Daniel 5:29). Basing their opinion on Babylonian records, the historians claim this never happened. According to the records, the last king of Babylon was not Belshazzar, but a man named Nabonidas. And so, they said, the Bible is in error. There wasn’t a record of a king named Belshazzar. Well, the spades of archeologists continued to do their work. In 1853, an inscription was found on a cornerstone of a temple built by Nabonidas, to the god Ur, which read: “May I, Nabonidas, king of Babylon, not sin against thee. And may reverence for thee dwell in the heart of Belshazzar, my first-born favorite son.” From other inscriptions, it was learned that Belshazzar and Nabonidas were co-regents. Nabonidas traveled while Belshazzar stayed home to run the kingdom. Now that we know that Belshazzar and Nabonidas were co-regents, it makes sense that Belshazzar would say that Daniel would be the third ruler. What a marvelous nugget of truth tucked away in the Word of God!

Third, from Genesis to Revelation, the Bible reads as one book. And there is incredible unity to the Bible. The Bible is one book, and yet it is made up of 66 books, was written by at least 40 different authors over a period of about 1600 years, in 13 different countries and on three different continents. It was written in at least three different languages by people in all professions. The Bible forms one beautiful temple of truth that does not contradict itself theologically, morally, ethically, doctrinally, scientifically, historically, or in any other way.

Fourth, did you know the Bible is the only book in the world that has accurate prophecy? When you read the prophecies of the Bible, you simply have to stand back in awe. There are over 300 precise prophecies that deal with the Lord Jesus Christ in the Old Testament that are fulfilled in the New Testament. To say that these are fulfilled by chance is an astronomical impossibility.

Finally, the Bible is not a book of the month, but the Book of the Ages. First Peter 1:25 says: “But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the Word which by the gospel is preached unto you.” No book has ever had as much opposition as the Bible. Men have laughed at it, scorned it, burned it, ridiculed it, and made laws against it. But the Word of God has survived. And it is applicable today as much as it was yesterday and will be tomorrow.

It’s so majestically deep that scholars could swim and never touch the bottom. Yet so wonderfully shallow that a little child could come and get a drink of water without fear of drowning. That is God’s precious, holy Word. The Word of God. Know it. Believe it. It is True.

What evidence is there that the Bible is in fact God's Word?

So there...

I'll pick on to debate as an example how it is the Word of God. Where it says It's good for a man not to have sex with a woman. But in another place Paul says husbands and wives should have regular sex. What gives? Before people sinned Adam and Eve weren't having sex and making children. Afterwards people want sex with everything so he advises a husband and wife to keep each other satisfied to keep their minds off sex. Then after the resurrection people probably won't have sex anymore. Because it says the Angels don't get married, and since sex outside of marriage is sin, they must not have sex. So it can all be true when put in the right contexts.

FAIL To hang means to be suspended from something, and because the earth is NOT suspended from anything it does not hang.

hang
haNG/
verb
1.suspend or be suspended from above with the lower part dangling free.
sus·pend
səˈspend/
verb
  1. hang (something) from somewhere.

FAIL
It only means globe or sphere because you need it to mean globe or sphere.
cir·cle
ˈsərk(ə)l/
noun
noun: circle; plural noun: circles; noun: cir.; noun: circ.
1.a round plane figure whose boundary (the circumference) consists of points equidistant from a fixed point (the center).

FAIL The Bible is historically inaccurate.
The Earth wasn't created some 6,000 years ago.
All the species on Earth were not created as is some 6,000 years ago
There was no worldwide flood.
There was no Tower of Babel.

FAIL Any unity is attributable to the need to retain coherency within the Bible. Other than the small contradictions, all major conflicts were assiduously avoided.

Isaiah 19:4-5 And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts. And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and dried up.
The river mentioned here is the Nile. The Nile is still one of Egypt's greatest natural resource.

Isaiah 52:1 Awake, awake; put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.
There are uncircumcised people living in Jerusalem even today.

Matthew 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
That generation ended 2000 years ago, and the world has not come to an end, neither has all those signs been fulfilled.

Finally, the Bible is not a book of the month, but the Book of the Ages. First Peter 1:25 says: “But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. Before people sinned Adam and Eve weren't having sex and making children.
Are you saying that other people sinned before A&E did? That before these other people sinned A&E weren't having sex?

Afterwards people want sex with everything so he advises a husband and wife to keep each other satisfied to keep their minds off sex.
Okay, but do you have any chapter and verse for this?

Then after the resurrection people probably won't have sex anymore.
Really! Thing is, they did.

Because it says the Angels don't get married, and since sex outside of marriage is sin, they must not have sex.
Totally irrelevant, but okay.

So it can all be true when put in the right contexts.
And you're saying that the above are the right contexts?

If the Bible isn't the word of God, who is to make such a decision? Who decides which parts are divinely inspired and which parts are not?

Men filled with the Spirit decided long ago on the 66 books of the Bible. They got it right.

Thanks, and I will assume you believe god said or approves the six passages I quoted in my OP.

Not go back and quite them all in context. There are much better translations of James 3:7, probably the others as well.

7 Humans have control over every kind of wild animal, bird, reptile, and fish, and they have controlled all these things.
LOL, sharp learning curve ahead. I thought humans wanting control was how we ended up with the A&E story, the Tower of Babel, etc.

22 Wives, place yourselves under your husbands’ authority as you have placed yourselves under the Lord’s authority. 23 The husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church.
I automatically tune out any human gathering that has the audacity to tell God whom He may or may not call to service. If He wants a lesbian nonwhite trans woman to be a pope, He should be able to make that call. I mean, this verse is just stupid. The "head" often has bugs in it. If your body part causes you to sin ....

9 Bid slaves to be submissive to their masters and to give satisfaction in every respect; they are not to be refractory,
Again, this has less to do with God than keeping a human political status quo.

13 If you are always trying to do good, no one can really harm you.
Only in some vague metaphorical sense. "No good deed goes unpunished", after all, LOL.

1 Now for the matters you wrote about: “It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.”
Then admit you're gay, Paul.

A woman should learn while listening quietly and being completely willing to obey.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

To reiterate: I do not consider the bible the "Word of God". It is more like "Word of People Thinking Occasionally About God". God and Jesus probably don't even take up half Their respective testaments. They come in for the arbitrary cameos and that's it. The majority of the stories are about humans and their crap. The bible is useful if you like stories in general, but there are more consistent moral texts out there.

The scientists of Isaiah’s day didn’t know the topography of the earth, but Isaiah said, “It is [God] that sitteth upon the circle of the earth” (Isaiah 40:22).
From what I understand, Greeks used shadows to conclude the spherical nature of the planet. My question is, if the Holy Spirit can tell someone the Earth is "circular", why not make pi more accurate?

After the interpretation, “Then commanded Belshazzar, and they clothed Daniel with scarlet, and put a chain of gold about his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.” (Daniel 5:29). Basing their opinion on Babylonian records, the historians claim this never happened.
That's because even if you find a king's list, it doesn't prove a story more fitting for a horror movie than reality. You could also probably write the mentioned warning in oil on the wall prior to the party and then when they used lamps and such for illumination the words just sort of "appear" as if by magic.

Ancients knew how to make secret messages

I mean, my brother and I loved to play with "invisible coloring books" when we were kids. It's not that hard.

Third, from Genesis to Revelation, the Bible reads as one book.
Only if you are willing to suggest that it becomes absurdly inconsistent in tone, theme, characterization, plot, settings, etc.

I mean, Jesus calls certain people foolish while saying people who use the slur "fools" will go to hell. Jesus can't even remember his own thoughts, THAT'S how inconsistent it is.

Fourth, did you know the Bible is the only book in the world that has accurate prophecy?
I dunno. There was this prophecy that while a kid and a villain each existed, neither could survive. Turned out to be fairly accurate. :)

First Peter 1:25 says: “But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the Word which by the gospel is preached unto you.”
Which is why we have so many "lost" texts?
