Truth

At one time, 95% of people thought the Earth to be flat.

The vast majority of people are rather uneducated. That has always been the case and it is likely to always be the case.

Truth isn't decided by consensus of the general populace.

No, it isn't. It also isn't decided by 16.5% of the population, either.

Interesting opinion. About 16.5% of the adult population of Earth agrees with you while 83.5% are in opposition. Wow, you're so smart!

Please provide citation for your claim

Just because the majority of people have some religious belief does not mean they are stupid.

Thank you for venerating every Christian science website out there. We appreciate it.

Considering that the creationist websites don't actually investigate any evidence, nor do the explore to find any evidence, nor do they show an understanding of what real science claims or its methods, what you wrote is just laughable.

Your 'Christian science websites' are some of the *worst* sources of information out there.

Does anyone know where to find the truth?

That depends which category of truth you are trying to pursue.

1. scientific truth
which repeats itself with a pattern, and following a set of rules. You discover the set of rules by predicting correctly how it repeats.

2. Past truth
Whatever happened in the past.

3. Present truth
Whatever happened now or recently.

4. Future truth
Whatever will happen in the future.

Different kinds of truth can be approached differently.

same word, same definition for soul.
however humans and animals both have a spirit. once the spirit is encased in the form/body it's called a soul because it takes a form associated to that vehicle's function.
hebrew and greek both differentiate between a spirit and a soul.
greek spirit vs soul
this is the same thing as genesis 1:2 when the breath of god moved upon the waters and earth was formed. it works the same way for everything in third density being formed from the earth, or mater(matter). mother earth, father sky. in the egyptian it's reversed as Nut the heavens and Geb the earth.
once the vehicle/form is released, the personality dissolves because it is no longer attached to a third density form. it returns to its previous state as a spirit; which is ruwach.

I find Adam's previous state is ' dust ' according to Genesis 3:19
When Adam died his life's spirit went out just as a burnt-out light bulb goes out.
It does Not literally go anywhere, but ceases to exist.

After God breathed the breath of life into lifeless Adam, then Adam became a living soul at Genesis 2:7.
Adam went from non-life, to life, and ' returned ' back to non-life or non-existence.
A person can Not ' return ' to a place he never was before. Adam was never an angel or spirit person.

As a foreclosed house ' goes back ' to the owner, the house does Not move or go anywhere.
It is ownership of the house that is taken back. So, any future life prospect lies with God.
Jesus has the keys to unlock death and the grave ( biblical hell ) at Revelation 1:18.

5. Jesus approached the category of ' Religious Truth ' by basing his teachings on the old Hebrew Scriptures.
To me that is why Jesus said that God's Word (Scripture) is truth (religious truth) according to John 17:17, 3.

You believe that someone added "the word" there. How do you know it didn't originally say, "Sanctify them by the truth; your truth IS"?

I think that we agree that God is True and to be obeyed. Now, people teach that Scripture is true too and to be obeyed. For your information, that makes TWO. Two to be obeyed. You have two gods. That is a fact.

agreed adam is associated with the earth because again it's a personality, a soul, a third density form. it associates only it's current memories to reality. in reality it has a subconscious that eventually bubbles up into it's limited reality.

there are two adams. adam as in mankind and adam as a proper name.

adam, mankind, was created from the earth and is an earthling. he is associated with clay; which was used throughout the world to make pottery. most pottery was used for carrying and/or storing something.

adam ceases, the Spirit, breath of life, consciousness doesn't.

John 3:8
The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

the Spirit is mutable, or the consciousness is mutable. the form, person, is finite, or an illusory thing in time and space. the Spirit, consciousness, doesn't operate within those confines.

Hebrews 9:27
Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment,

the Spirit gives life, or quickeneth, and the form counts for nothing because it is temporal.

Our relationship with the great spirit is our relationship with ourselves because in no way are we separate from him.
".....in no way are we separate from him."...... Him? You mean 'It' don't you? Why do you say 'Him'? Do you know god's Being?. What is the essence, the reality, of God, certainly not cells and tissue or protons and electrons, such as humans have? You don't really mean God is a man, or masculine, do you? How could that be? In science such reasoning is called 'anthropomorphism', that is, ascribing characteristics of a human to a deity. George H. Smith, in his book 'Atheism' suggests that, 'just as we are entitled to say that a "square circle" does not and cannot possibly exist, so we are entitled to say that the concept of god, if it entails a contradiction, does not and cannot possible exist.'
But in fact the majority religion of any area simply inherits and 'assumes' the reality of their gods and their beliefs, rather than to hold them tentatively and examine them. Thus each member of a religion must create his or her own ideas regarding beliefs, as there is no reality there to examine or agree upon.

One reason Christians say "Him" (masculine gender) for the God of the Bible is because Jesus addressed his God as Father (father as in meaning: Life Giver) thus since God gives life, then God is in masculine gender as He or Him.

KJV uses the word ' thy ' at John 17:17. "thy" truth as in meaning God's truth, "thy" word (Scripture) is truth.
Divine truth as found between Genesis through Revelation rather than what is just speaking of truth in general.
"thy" as in meaning that the God of the Bible is the source of religious truth - John 4:23-24; John 17:3.

I find the Bible talks of more than two Gods. Some people's belly is their God at Philippians 3:19.
The judges were ' gods ' because they were to use God's judgement to make judgements - Psalms 82:6.
1 Corinthians 8:5-6 says there are many Gods. For Christians there is but ' one ' God ' the Father '.......
and 'one ' Lord Jesus Christ .........

God's Word is whatever God speaks. The Bible is men's interpretation of what they believe God spoke. I hear you saying that the Bible as we know it is what God spoke so that calling it true and to be obeyed is the same as calling God true and to be obeyed. Is that right?

As Jesus taught that Scripture is religious truth according to John 17:17 then to me that would be same as calling the God of the Bible as true and to obey or serve Him, even under adverse conditions as Job and Jesus suffered.

Since the Bible has corresponding cross-reference verses and passages by subject or topic arrangement, then men can see the internal harmony between the many Bible writers, thus seeing what the Bible really teaches.
That way what is discovered as wrong is Not that the Bible is wrong, just men's ideas were wrong.
Proverbs 4:18 proves true that spiritual light grows brighter and lighter with the passing of time.
That is also in harmony with Daniel 12:9; Daniel 12:4 that scriptural understanding improves with the passing of time.
The time of ignorance is now passed according to Acts of the Apostles 17:30-31.

As Jesus taught that Scripture is religious truth according to John 17:17.
I suppose you suppose that "giving you my word" means words and not a promise. Is this correct?

John 17:17 Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth

Word is singular. Is it not?
