holy spirit

Speaking of dwelling, so to speak, any comments about God's spirit being in Job's nose at Job 27:3
I understand this one to be the breath of God that God in-breathed into Adam to start his living processes.

Gen 2: 7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

The word spirit has many many applications and is one of the worst words as far as pinning down in meaning. There is the spirit that is hungry, angry, saddened, and quoting myself from a website:
Spirit may refer to an angel, to God, to God's Holy Spirit, to Christ's spirit, to the spirit within animals and humans, to man's attitude, to God's attitude, to a husbands spirit of jealousy, special gifts God imparts to a person, special inborn ability, etc.

I have no idea how many other things it may refer to! There is a plethora of scriptures with a great many variations of usage that may all refer to the same thing, or perhaps not.

The Hebrew word for spirit 'ruwach' (רוּחַ) and breathe 'Naphesh'(נֶפֶשׁ) are a feminine noun.

Gen 2:7
LORD God formed man of the Dust (Masculine) of the Ground (Feminine)

'Holy Spirit' appears to be the disguised Feminine component, Father-Mother-Child.

Breathing, being linked to emotions, that is from Plato, it's an Hellenistic view, that is why 'holy spirit' isn't emphasised in the Old Testament as much as it is in the New Testament, the idea
that our 'thoughts' are actually breathed in and out, it's a very bizarre way of thinking and this is the origin of the phrase 'Inspire', which literally means 'Breath In' and the opposite is Exorcise
which means, Breath out. Demons ( a concept created by Plato), have many names for Good or bad emotions, such as Eros (Love), Eris (Strife), Phobos (Fear), Phthonus (Jealousy), Lyssa (Rage) Coalemus (Stupidity) , Aergia (Laziness) and Limos (Hunger)

The New Testament, as people being 'Filled' (like a Balloon), with Holy Spirit (with Gas ) , it is obvious the authors of the New Testament where Platonists .

The people of Acts of the Apostles 2:4 I find were Not filled with ' gas ' but with ' power ' to speak to others of another language without the use of a translator. God ' poured out ' His spirit according to Acts of the Apostles 2:17-18; Proverbs 1:23 so that those people could ' bubble forth ', so to speak, speaking to all about the magnificent things Jesus did and will do.

Yes, agree that before God breathed the breath of life into lifeless Adam that Adam was Not a living soul or person.
On the other hand, Job 27:3 was already a living person or living soul.
Yes, agree to the word spirit has many applications, including found in English.
We can think of a school pep rally designed to create lively school spirit.
We can think of a high-spirited horse as being a lively horse.
So, God's spirit I find at Psalms 104:30 shows God's active energizing force.
That power then God could place " it " upon whom He wishes such as those of Numbers 11:17; Numbers 11:25.

Proverbs 1:23 Pour out (נָבַע) my breathe
Psalms 19:2 uttereth (נָבַע) speech
Psalms 78:2 I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter (נָבַע)

The Hebrew נָבַע (Nbo) , rather similar to נָבָא (Nba), so they are obviously referring to the 'Air', that pours out the mouth that carries the 'speech' to the recipient.

This is why Angels (Messengers) have 'Wings' , cos Birds have Wings and they travel through the air.

I agree. But, calling it an active force seems to force limitations on it that make it an unintelligent force - that is not what I see.
I think it is part of God, and that he uses this finger, this HS to do whatever he wants, including giving knowledge to people, providing them with dreams and prophecies.

The spirit of Christ I see as an individualized spirit, I take it as I feel it is presented to us, an individual, a he, him - that has the ability to read my mind, your mind, and in the case of the spirit anointed, to tell them what they need, teach them as they each need it.

In Greek grammar rules I see it is proper to use the masculine gender for a neuter 'it'. ( a neuter has No mind )
Even in English we speak of a ship as feminine gender 'she ' although the ship remains a mindless neuter 'it'.
So, God's spirit (Psalms 104:30) is properly an unintelligent neuter as used at Numbers 11:17; Numbers 11:25,
and older King James at Romans 8:16; Romans 8:26 God's spirit as 'itself' instead of the later change to himself.
Later versions chose to change the neuter to masculine gender to make God's spirit as a male person or ghost.
Older king James versions also speak of God's spirit as being a 'ghost' (a spook) instead of saying God's spirit.
Seems No one really speaks about God's ghost, the ghost appointed....

Noah Webster believed God's spirit was Not an apparition (ghost of God) because Webster understood when words are introduced as being different from the original language (spirit) then it does Not present the Word of God (Bible) as originally introduced. (in the ancient manuscripts)

I think an intelligent ghost-like or spirit can't be ' poured out ' as mentioned at Isaiah 44:3.
Nor can a person be 'filled' with God's ghost/spirit person from his mother's womb as found at Luke 1:15.

As far as I can see at Psalms 19:2, at Psalms 19:1 it is talking about creation 'speaking'.
The qualities of creation ' speaks ' or reflects laws that govern the heavens.
Creation being a source of information which teaches us lessons as found at Job 12:7-10; Job 38:31-33; Job 38:4-7

Isaiah 44:3 is simply describing the fertility attributes of Jehovah ( God of Storms)

' floods upon the dry ground' ( this makes the earth fertile)
' Pour wind (ruwach) upon the seeds ' ( waters subsided )

Gen 8:1 - God made a wind (ruwach) to pass over the earth, and the waters subsided

wind speeds up evaporation

"wind moves humid air away and pulls in drier air, thus increasing the rate of evaporation "

Do you see though that there are two kinds of spirit, God's general holy spirit, and Christ's that was poured out after his death, sent in the name of Christ by God?
(I understand your points about nouns having gender. French has this - a table is female, 'la' and is addressed as e.g., 'she is brown'. German has 3 genders for its nouns, Danish has two, though not male or female.)

How do you understand demonic possession? (in this context, I think it relates)

.......demonic possession has nothing to due with God's spirit ( Psalms 104:30 )
As a burned-out light bulb ' goes out ' so did Christ's spirit ' go out ' 'poured out ' at his death.
That is why Jesus could liken death to sleep - John 11:11-14 which is in harmony with Psalms 115:17; Psalms 146:4; Ecclesiastes 9:5 that the dead know nothing. So, while in biblical hell the dead Jesus knew nothing until his God resurrected him out of the grave ( biblical hell ) - Acts of the Apostles 2:27; 31-32; 3:15.

...and I find at Genesis 8:22 earth's water/evaporation cycle will never end, as the Earth abides forever - Ecclesiastes 1:4 B

God's spirit (my spirit) at Isaiah 44:3 is 'poured out' so that there is the promise of future blessings for Earth as mentioned at Revelation 22:2 when there will be the benefit of 'healing' for earth's nations.
Mankind will then see the return of the Genesis ' tree of life ' for the healing of earth's nations.

I don't like to read Isaiah 44:3 into Revelation 22:2 seemingly like that, one is Hebrew, the other is Greek and each language is rather different, Greeks deal with abstract notions, Hebrew does not.

An example is 'Create' ( out of nothing), this word is abstract, but in Hebrew, Gen 1:1, the word is Bara , which means 'To Fill, in the context of making something full' , so you read in Gen 1:2, the earth was unfilled. In other words, Sky-Earth where already there, 'God' was just fattening them up.

Creation is abstract fertility.
