I understand this one to be the breath of God that God in-breathed into Adam to start his living processes.Speaking of dwelling, so to speak, any comments about God's spirit being in Job's nose at Job 27:3
Gen 2: 7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
The word spirit has many many applications and is one of the worst words as far as pinning down in meaning. There is the spirit that is hungry, angry, saddened, and quoting myself from a website:
Spirit may refer to an angel, to God, to God's Holy Spirit, to Christ's spirit, to the spirit within animals and humans, to man's attitude, to God's attitude, to a husbands spirit of jealousy, special gifts God imparts to a person, special inborn ability, etc.
I have no idea how many other things it may refer to! There is a plethora of scriptures with a great many variations of usage that may all refer to the same thing, or perhaps not.
