I hope you enjoy my beliefs. Please no comments such as "there is no meaning of life" or other things from a nihilistic perspective, because I don't know how to work with that.

What I believe in is that the meaning of life is to get more information, there are beings called kami that make up everything that gets info, and there is a morality that gets you the most amount of info. I basically believe that our lives are to learn more about the world we live in. In the theory set by my beliefs there is something called the "white rule": give more than gained, take less than lost. This rule is the basics for the morality, as well as working with others gets you more info. It is a monistic belief with information the only thing that's real, even though it is not material. There is no central deity or "God". Kami include even thoughts that we have, but the source of all info is not a kami. There is a code of honor in this with rules specifying what is expected of a person who follows this belief system. The rules have things like "do not proselytize", "have a hierarchical elective ", "to not seek the afterlife", "to not eat kinds that have eaten your kind", "to value income over wealth".

I came up with this when I was in college for mechanical engineering learning about information theory and control theory in order to build AI for robots. I had made an attempt on my life ultimately caused to what I would later learn as bipolar disorder. When I was recovering I gave up on my catholic faith and started to question what I truly believed, and this is what I discovered. I have thought about and practiced this for about four years and have never faltered. I have often thought if this could be a syncretic religion but I just get uncomfortable going to other religions temples for non-educational purposes. There is a whole theory to this, which I have tried to explain it in depth many times, but I guess it takes a highly educated mind to fully comprehend it.
