Could there possibly be a new earth, as per any sacred texts?

Jaya Jagannatha!
I feel so awkward to ask this...

But since I am a seeker, I'm inclined to ask, according to Islam/Christianity/Judaism/Hinduism/Taoism/any other, is there a religious belief for existence of a new earth, apart from our own?

Six months ago, I had a vivid dream of visiting/being in a new Earth, far, far away in a distant galaxy, that is not our mother earth, but a new, different earth, also filled with people!!

I was looking for India and USA there, but obviously there were none!

Yes, this is an idea. In xianity, for example, earth is destroyed; follow the logic, could be a new earth. Nothing too weird about the idea, in my opinion.

Certainly. In some circles Murugan is related to the Pleiades star cluster.

Buddhism would address change and impermanence by which the familiar environment would some day be vastly different and unrecognizable.

Yes, there are a lot of so-called skeptics here but that hasn't stopped me from sticking my neck out with my beliefs.:)

Well, I have recently come to believe in the likelihood of alternate universes. (See my South America thread in the Paranormal DIR for example). A lot of sources I respect are talking about these things.

Interesting that you feel your dream was more than a regular dream apparently! I wouldn't mind hearing more.

If we are inclined to believe that Mars was once a humanoid Earth, I believe that once we charge higher density (wich is starting to happen, 4D molecules, that can turn thought into matter (which many other humanoids can do) are being discovered/utilized. We may shift to live on Venus or another planet once Gaia has evolved and our job is done.

What a fantastic dream.

In the Baha'i Faith the New Earth is each Revelation that renews the Revelation from God in each religion and culture since humanity was first human, and the first Revelation that revealed God to the first human, which is likely hundreds of thousands of years ago in the first Adam of Revelation in the first New Earth of "Humanity," beginning the cycles of Revelation for the spiritual advancement of humanity the ultimate Talisman of of God's Revelation.

It was not a lengthy dream. I woke up in the middle of the night, and I remembered being in a place of which I have no knowledge of the surroundings, in which I was all alone (but did not feel lonely), and in which I was telling myself, "Of course I cannot find my home here, this is not my earth, this is somewhere else -- a new earth" and then realizing "I was indeed far, far away from home...". All I remembered was my unique consciousness - feeling the "I" in a new place, without knowing anything about the surroundings.

The dream touched me because it was unique.

Thanks for sharing. It's always interesting to me to hear people having dreams that they think are part of the greater reality as opposed to just the confused imaginations of their own mind.

Kind of like Near Death Experiences where people just know it was real.

I think there is. I don't think man has a soul, so to receive eternal torture they may have to have a physical form.
