Trump to FBI Director Comey: You're Fired!

Dirty Penguin

We were hemorrhaging both jobs and employers before Trump took office, the stock market was iffy at best, and regulations on small and large businesses was becoming oppressive; Trump tends to represent the antithesis of this trend. One of the main causes of economic upturns is confidence in leadership and intent. As a business person I realize that there are no guarantees nor quick fixes when it comes to the economy, but you are seeing the results of businesses believing it's going to get better.
This delusional. All of the job growth the past 8 years was under Obama. The rise of the stock market, why not totally can be contributed to Obama, did happen during his presidency. We are still in the Obama economy until end of the fiscal year. Trump hasn't signed into law any legislation that changes that...

So, in other words, you have no evidence and yet you are still convinced of their guilt despite TWO FBI investigations finding nothing. Meanwhile, you don't suspect anything whatsoever about Trump, in spite of his long history of shady business deals, nepotism, blatant dishonesty, his refusal to put his business into a blind trust (and the evidence that he is using his position to benefit himself and his company financially), and the fact that he hasn't released his taxes despite promising to multiple times. Not to mention the fact that he just fired and openly threatened the man who was investigating him for possible electoral fraud and his official reasoning behind this was that he "wanted the investigation to be over".

But, hey, never mind that. Hillary maybe did something that might have kinda been illegal maybe with her emails despite the fact that everybody knew about it and there was no evidence of any kind of prosecutable offence. Surely we must rake HER over the coals and dismiss the obviously suspicious behaviour of a man with a proven track record of being a sleazy, manipulative, self-interested liar.

And don't forget that he openly admitted, contradicting his press mouthpieces, the reason he actually fired Comey....he said right there in the interview with Lester Holt is was because of the Russian investigation. But republicans talk past these facts and focus on non-issues.....

We just had a democratic election, and liberals are trying to destroy the outcome of that election. There is nothing democratic about a liberal mindset.

How so. Democrats in the senate and in the house are the minority party yet your president and many of those around him are involved in the scandal. The republican majority are doing whatever they can to protect him except but a few...

Everyday there is something new coming to light with this president and many in his circle. To deny the connections he and his family and others around him have with Russia and other foreign countries is insane. You guys lost your minds over Benghazi and her emails...but you don't even see the hypocrisy. We know what congress wants...they want a rubber stamp for their agenda and to stay in power by placating the base....but what does the base want....they just ignore whats going on to say they have a republican in the white house...or maybe they can't admit they made a mistake...

The FBI and a bi-partisan congressional committee are trying to investigate whether Trump committed treason by colluding with the Russians. So, no, it's not the Liberals. It's more and more non-democrats every day.

It's even bigger than that. These are the agencies investigating the matter....

House and Senate Intel Committees

Senate Judiciary Committee

House Oversight Committee

Defense Department Inspector General

FBI Counter Intelligence

Treasury Department (Money Laundering)

U.S. Attorneys.

Ego? I am stating an opinion. You not liking the opinion does not mean it is ego. You also seem to ignore recent information and testimony showing how filtered your information input is.

Oh now you do not want to rehash it but you had no issues rehashing it for the last day or two. Right.....

Claiming a fallacy does not mean there is a fallacy. You have to demonstrate it is go. Go....

Yes. So Comey's previous actions and the backlash of it should be considered in why he was fired.

I am forcing on a case run by Comey investigating her which is relevant to him being fired.

Blah blah blah. . . . I don't care.

Any actual thoughts on Trump the topic of the thread, or do you just view this thread as a bash Clinton soap box?

And that's just up to the year 2014. The trend is upward in year 15 and 16 to the present day. Some months better than others and that's for a myriad of local and global economical reasons but what you do see is as a result of his policies going into effect in 2010 the trend left by the previous administration begins to reverse course.

Name one of these "scandals" that, so far, have any basis.

So far there are multiple investigations being conducted by various committees and departments...many in a bipartisan manner. Much of what Trump and associates are involved in do appear to be scandals...such as firing the FBI director because he was leading the Russian investigation, trying to intimidate Comey on twitter , Claiming Obama tapped his phones, his seemingly obstructing justice with said firing of Comey, the issues surrounding Mike Flynn...and as the days go on and on we get more....

Notes made by FBI Director Comey say Trump pressured him to end Flynn probe

No that was Comey as various members of the FBI have questioned this openly. I forgot you are oblivious to what is happening around you. You didn't know about the investigation of Comey and the Hillary case.
Questioned what? That there was intent? Do you not trust the FBI investigation?
I know that there was nothing illegal and there was no wrong doing. Did you know that?
Never mentioned fake news. Nice slogan but a slogan does not make an arguement. Try again
Fake news like Fox and RW media is very real. They deserve to be called out when propagandists strike.
Wrong as I made up my mind well after the election. Now you have to make stuff up to dismiss my points.
Propaganda is powerful, everything you hate about Clinton probably isn't true.
Like Hillary is innocent? I know. Her drones are hilariously blind.
Of course she was. These are manufactured republican committee 'scandals' just like Benghazi. Useful for election years.
Irrelevant and nonsense. I pointed out testimony and investigations. You pointed out nothing but a single line from one part of the investigation while being oblivious to everything else. Try again son.
The investigation turned up nothing.
Well you seem to accept what people tell you so I figure you would continue the trend of acting like a Hillary drone while ignoring that the very person you listen to (back in July) and their case is under investigation. Oh I forgot having classified files on a illegal server is no big deal at all.....
I think for myself. I mostly watch Fox.
There were no classified files on the server
The server was not illegal.
Turn off fake news.
The evidence is there. Comey only argued that Hillary had no intent which is bull.
Yep, the FBI aren't the experts....you are.

Too bad you responses to me show that you do care otherwise you wouldn't bother responding at all.

When people are using hearsay to call for Trump's impeachment then turn a blindeye to the evidence against Hillary pointing out their bias is fine. A bias many Trump haters and Hillary supports have.

Trump is far too green and far too arrogant to admit his faults nor act accordingly. This undermines his press core as he is a radical element they can not account for. Often this result in damage control rather than press conferences. Trump is easy to goad and takes such goads very personally. He lashes out when prodded at even the slights of remarks he takes offense to. He has no ability to filter nor show self-control over his actions. He is a loose cannon so to speak. He makes comments regarding policy which show a remarkable lack of knowledge especially when it comes to trade and the economy. Trump being a business man should have a greater grasp on both than he displays. Some knowledge is from advisors typical fill in the gaps for a President. However Trump acts like he is an expert on everything. I seriously doubt he takes any advice which does not conform to his own views and perception of himself. I believe this is because his subordinates in business are far more "yes men" than those within office yet he held an expectation of his relationship within business. I believe he is acting as if he is still a CEO rather than an elected official. As per the above with his PR he continuous undermines his own staff such as with Pence. This cause me to think people only work with him for the opportunity provided rather than any genuine interest in actually working with the man.

His base lack political power within government so he must compromise his agenda thus alienate his voting base by appealing to whatever party that will play ball. He has no defacto support a Democrat nor Republican is provided. His base seeing him as Republican, which he isn't, does not mean Republicans in office do. He will swing to whatever side helps his goals regardless if they share his goal as he sees it. As per his healthcare ultimatum in which he threatened to go to the Democrats for support. That is not a statement of even a RINO let alone a true conservative Republican This is not the political compromise of the American political system but typical opportunism and follow the winds as they change. Granted Trump didn't start this trend but he is not the solution as he claimed but merely a continuation of it. His conduct does no favours to Republicans as a whole. Those Republicans that attempt to play ball risk their seats in the next election cycle as they must content with a populist movement they let into their party against the core of the party. The base within individual states does not mean it is the same as the one that elected Trump. Trump may find the party he claims represent has lost the majority before his term is over handicapping his ability to get legislation passed, more so than it already has become.

Happy?

I didn't even bother to read it.

So you make pointless comments in order to avoid any dialogue you do not care about but respond to anyways. You make a point and I respond yet you had no intentions of even reading it.

It was actually a pretty nuanced outlook. I didn't agree with everything, but it wasn't the usual Trump apologetics.

I am not a Trump supporter. I was pointing out that people are calling for impeachment and resigning based on hearsay while some of these same people turn a blind eye to evidence against Hillary.

I have been watching Americas media go nuts over Trump like hysterical children. It is sad that they go from false story to false story. Maddow and Trump's tax returns for example. All these false narratives are repeated up here as if a fact. The hated of Trump has unhinged people.

In case you are unaware of this there is no way to impeach Hillary Clinton, she's not the President, get over it!!

Did I say impeach Hillary? Nope. I pointed out there is evidence of her breaking the law while there is zero evidence against Trump. The double-standard is hilarious as well as the strawman.

But there's no prosecutorial evidence to bring her to trial according to the FBI. Trump ran on a campaign to "Lock her up" but said he declined to because it was just good politics and he won so he wasn't going to do it.

I do agree that impeachment and resignation of Trump at this point is silly.

I have been watching Americas media go nuts over Trump like hysterical children. It is sad that they go from false story to false story. Maddow and Trump's tax returns for example. All these false narratives are repeated up here as if a fact. The hated of Trump has unhinged people.

Except that we know releasing his tax returns is something he can do regardless of audit. That means absolutely nothing and on its face...not to release them because of an audit is a lie. Maddow getting hold of the return itself and sharing it didn't mean too much other than the fact that the narrative Trump presents to not release them is bunk.

As far as the investigations...well multiple agencies and congressional committees and an independent prosecutor are tasked with the investigation into Trump and his associates. They believe that there is enough information there surrounding those closest to him to warrant a look. I'm fine with them following the evidence.

Did I say impeach Hillary? Nope. I pointed out there is evidence of her breaking the law while there is zero evidence against Trump. The double-standard is hilarious as well as the strawman.

Except he did in fact say explicitly in his interview with Lester Holt that the reason he fired Comey was not because of the Hillary email investigation he had his surrogates come out to tell the American people rather he did it because Comey was investigating his associates, (Flynn and others) ties to Russia. That sounds like obstruction of justice. But it's being spun differently for the president. If you or I did that we'd be prosecuted.

Section 1924 of Title 18 of the United States Code
Prove that Clinton knowingly removed documents or materials containing classified material without authority and with intent to retain such documents or materials at an unauthorized location. What documents or materials containing classified information did she remove?

What was her motive for her alleged intention to retain such documents at this location?

How was he protecting his own interests with that opinion on Clinton's acts and motives?
Interviewing Hillary without an oath from her after he decided not to file charges.... No discussion with the DoJ as Comey thought Lynch would protect her. Then after all of backlash he reopens the case....
How do any of your assertions here answer my question as to how Comey was supposedly protecting his own interesting with his opinion on Clinton's acts and motives?

Are you saying that Comey engaged in wrongdoing, and absolving Clinton was a way to absolve himself?

Comey, a Republican, did not feel that what Hilary did was an intentional act to undermine the country in any way, which is why he said they would not prosecute.

OTOH, Trump was fined twice for illegal use of campaign funds, fined just a couple of months ago for refusing to pay a sub-contractor, fined for his Trump University scandal, etc.
