The message of LOVE

this is how once, i understood the message of the sacrifice Jesus made for us; for love.

sometimes, when you love someone, (and i'm going to use the example of loving in a relationship, or loving a girl) you are not always loved the way you would "like to"....sometimes, the person you love with all your hearth, do not listen to you and pays not attention to your feelings...
we are sometimes waiting for something in return when we love, and is understandable because we NEED to feel loved...

sometimes i see it this way....Jesus, he truly loved us, and many of us did not listened to His message, many of us did not understand His love, but He made a sacrifice, showing us that no matter what, even if he had to die in the most horrible way, he would still love us...

That is the message i got from what the bible says, that we should love with all our strange, and we should prove that even that we are humans we CAN have a very altruistic love towards anybody.

that is why Jesus was Human, and i see Jesus, as any other human being, but that he did went to the last consecuences just for the love he Had.

so, when i feel hurt, or that to love someone who does not understand me seems to have no light, i remember to what He did, he Died, for LOVE...
...if he did it, i can find the strenght to see if i can too..

once again, this message is from someone who does not belong to any church, i just try to learn the best of every religion, and this is what i learnt from Him.

love a lot)(

Wait, but why did you DIE for love? Was true, unconditional love impossible before his crucifixion?

well, i do not mean, exactly to die...i mean, to do as much as i can for that love....

it is just the way i see it...

see, he also struggled with that love had for us ofcourse...buthe message was that we can do the impossible in the name of love, and then we will find peace, and joy...
i don't know is pretty confusing, i think it is just the way i see it...
i like to think about it; that one can even die and resusitate for love, althout it might be just a story, i like to think about it, and it makes me go farest that what i can for the ones i love, and i like that, so..find your truth..

Jesus definitely taught love, didn't He? There is no greater love. He is the creator of love, so naturally He could demonstrate it better than any other. His volunteering to come to earth as a human to die for our sins is a tremendous demonstration of that love. His being raised from the dead by God makes it possible for us to receive salvation by accepting Him as Savior and Lord. I just wish more people loved themselves enough to allow Jesus to cleanse them from all unrightousness.

Unfortunately most people only love themselves enough to be self-indulgent and they convince themselves that they are self-sufficient. This pride keeps them from allowing Christ to control their lives and they live and die in their sins - without salvation. That is so sad and so unnecessary. God's love is so great that we can't really comprehend it. He made a way for us to be saved and spend eternity with HIm and most people do not accept it.

God loves us all very much. I just wish more people would understand that.

God bless.

I agree; I think half of Christianity is understanding Love and putting it into practice.

What seems to be so difficult is the fact that we are (for we lucky ones in the first and second world countries) born into a society that is reasonably affluent. From our youth, the importance of material things is drummed into us by the media, because 'money makes the world go around'.

To redress the balance is not always easy.
