hey comrades,
There was a thread by @Frolicking_Fox on having anarchist only subforum a while back. The Communist only subforum is for any self-identified communist. This isn't limited to Marxist-Communism but does mean Anarchist Communists and Religious Communists too. Authoritarian Marxism got all the attention in the 20th century but thats not actually representative of communism historically.
Here's a couple of examples as I realise the idea may be surprising to many:
Anarchist communism - Wikipedia
Libertarian Marxism - Wikipedia
Islamic socialism - Wikipedia
Anarchism and Islam - Wikipedia
Christian communism - Wikipedia
Christian anarchism - Wikipedia
In Tuana Tuva there was breifly a period of offical buddhist marxism in the early 30's:
Tuvan People's Republic - Wikipedia
..and in the early soviet union an attempt was made to establish a orthodox christian communism, partly as genuine reform but also to work with the soviet state too.
Living Church - Wikipedia
"Primitive communism" and anarchist primitivism deserves an honourable mention for the indigenous and pagan religions. [In Marxism, the concept of primitive communism was developed by Engels based on studies of the Iroquois Nation.]

Anarcho-primitivism - Wikipedia
Theres alot of historical overlap between communists and socialists too so socialists shouldn't feel excluded from the subforum.
Anyway, just a shout out in case people were not aware of this. feel free to make yourselves at home. The more members we have in the subforum, the more active and interesting it can be.
Does anyone have opinions on communism's relationship with anarchism and religion? Do you think communism is synonymous with Marxism or that communists need to look outside of marxism for more humane systems?
