I'm assuming you mean in the context of the bible or Christian theology. Is that right?

the idea is actually older than christianity. i just presumed it would catch more attention. i got a hint of it from the Tibetan Book of the Dead,

also, from NDE research and a few other sources. if consciousness can survive the destruction of the carnal body, then can it be the cause of such?

As far as I have seen, NDEs are caused by chemical surges in the brain. That's why their about things and idea the person in question has been exposed to rather than all NDEs having the same content.

My nDE was caused by brain Death..
many similarities between them ..
