If that is so-- why did not god create a world without child diseases?
Is that too much to ask of your god, for such a world?
If so-- your god is weak. Or evil. Or both...
Of course-- not-existing also explains your gods 100% failure to act... Godly.

And that is exactly why holding religious instruction in public schools is against the Constitution.
To protect us from religious dictators.
Such as those who promote religion in public schools-- whether the parents like it or not...

If you go to Genesis 1 & 2 you will find the world that God created. A perfect world with every need supplied with no sickness, disease or poverty.
He then gave this perfect world to man and said "I give you the dominion" (authority, control and dominion). It was His gift to us.
Chapter 3 - Adam decided to follow another spirit thinking that there was a better way of living... Satan, the thief who steals, kills and destroys and gave the dominion to Satan.
So, in the light of Christian thought:
The above is irrelevant in as much as God did act by giving man the authority once again through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, the Messiah. He gave the authority back to man. He gave the world back to man.
We feed our bodies with chemicals and every destroying compound we have invented and then blame God as to why we have cancers that are rampant instead of following His eating plan.
We pollute our waters with radiation, chemicals and waste and then blame God as to why we have new diseases popping out.
We eat all the water cleansing crustaceans and wonder why our seas have more red tide potentials and blame God for not doing something.
We reject the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ, and blame God for there being hatreds and covetousness that lead to wars.
So the real question for you, Bob, is what are YOU doing about it. Do you think, like Adam, you have a better way? You don't need God?
And as you look at God and say "You aren't doing anything", do you stand idly by not exercising the gift of authority that God has given you to fix what is wrong? Doing things your own way?
So, as to the previous answer, are you asking for help? And are you blaming God for what man did?
Yes, BUT it is also to protect us from people who want to dictate "THOU SHALT NOT HAVE RELIGION OUTSIDE OF YOUR HOME AND CHURCH" forgetting the Freedom of Religion that so many people died for.

Either your god is IN CHARGE-- and is the AUTHOR OF THE WORLD AS IT IS.
Or your god is NOT-- and therefore, not god (or not much of one).
God can do anything, supposedly-- EXCEPT MAKE A UNIVERSE WHERE BABIES ARE NOT PUNISHED FOR WHAT THEIR ANCESTORS DID.....!
Even a 3 year old can see how UNFAIR that situation is!

You keep forgetting that Freedom Of Religion also includes Freedom From Religion if one is so inclined.
I'm an outspoken atheist-- a former christian-- and I would get in like to DEFEND individual folks' rights to practice their religion as they please-- so long as such practice does not infringe on others' rights to not practice the same.
Thus? You are free to have religious marches, protests and gatherings-- so long as you do not use public funds to pay for these, and do not expect publicly funded facilities to cater to your exclusive use.
For example: I absolutely despise the Westburough Baptist Church bunch... they are sociopaths.
But. I would defend their right to stage protests, including very ugly signage.
Freedom Of Speech extends to everyone-- or it is meaningless.
You obviously didn't read what I said.
