Christian Trinity

according to Orthodox Christians the Father has the Will which the Son and the Holy Spirit serve. The Son and the Holy Spirit never go against the Father's Will. the purpose of the Son is to reveal the Father's Will upon the world, and the purpose of the Holy Spirit is to vitalize the world. the three aspects are equal, their purposes are distinct and different.

Evidence?

Link to show what you say is accurate?

Quote from someone else, to confirm you spoke it correctly?

How is it that you know so much about the HS, and many others don't?

How do we know you are even telling us the truth? Are we just supposed to believe you...."on faith"?

Do you ever support your beliefs with something, or do you just "obey what men tell you"?

Why can you, a "pagan", even discuss the HS as if they know all aspects of this unknown entity?

Do you have anything to help me understand why you are saying this?

it's from the Orthodox the Symbol of Faith and it makes perfect sense. God created matter and a part of God, the Holy Spirit, gives life to it.

Muffled

Jesus in me
I've read the bible more than 14 times in the last 20+ yrs using more than one translation. I now look closely at both the hebrew and the greek words used to translate them. I've also read many, many commentaries on said books, chapters, verses.

Jesus didn't quote whole passages from the bible. He literally used single verses to get his point across. Jesus didn't say worshiping himself, or flattering him, but believing him and putting into practice what he taught.

Everyone has the Spirit, not everyone overcomes the first death.

More for you,

call no man father on earth because you have one Father in heaven.

Our Father who art.............

Malachi 2:10
Do we not all have one Father? Did not one God create us? Why do we profane the covenant of our ancestors by being unfaithful to one another?

Romans 1:7
To all in Rome who are loved by God and called to be his holy people: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 1:3
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Galatians 4:6
Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.”

James 1:27
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

I believe if you don't have Jesus in you then you will not do it as well as He.

I don't believe I have seen that anywhere in the Bible.

Are all aspects of the trinity equal?

John 10:29
My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

John 14:28
You have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If you loved me, you would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

I believe:
There is no trinity.
Trinity was invented.

He replied, “Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: “‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.

Oh...I see...you have nothing but men telling you what to believe....gotcha.

Thanks!

what is your approach on the Trinity?

Like all so-called "Christian" doctrines and dogma.....BS. There is nothing to prove what anyone says to be factual or even....near to being factual.

I have "faith" and believe the "Christian" religion is incomplete, thus the definitions afforded by men are BS and nothing but to control the minds of men.

Made-up belief. Made-up by men. Made-up to control men and what they think.

You fell for the ruse......now what are you going to do? Continue to believe men or seek out the truth.

Maybe you should begin to utilize Jesus more often.....like this text that explains that there is not a "Trinity" as you would like to express and promote.

The Apocryphon of John - Long Version - Translated by Waldstein & Wisse

But as a follower of men, you can't step out of the box for the truth.....so you probably will rebuke Jesus in any way you can, if the text isn't within the bible, huh?

Of course you will.....you have been manipulated by men and have no idea on how to remove yourself.

*holds out his hand*

I'm here to help.

you believe god is immaterial? without a body?
you believe god isn't an active force, or spirit?
you believe god doesn't have consciousness, or a mind?

...and you think otherwise?

I'm not seeing any support or links that shows you to be accurate.

Do you have something that supports your position? Please provide it.

If anything, it will help so-called "Christians" better understand what you say, instead of always speaking in questions.

Help them understand that which you ask questions of. You do know the answers to your questions, right? You aren't just asking them, to see if you can acquire the answers, right? I hope not, but hope you will post the answers to help others.

That should be your goal if you are not a so-called "Christian" or other type of religious person.

Remember....helping those who have been misguided by false doctrines will help better the world we live in.

in genesis 1 there are three things that aren't created: water, god, spirit. when the Spirit of God moves upon the water then heaven and earth are formed. prior to that they are formless; which is the same as the uncreated creator.

being without form, doesn't mean without matter

From the Bible not my thoughts, from the bible:

Who is God according to my Lord Jesus Christ?

John 4:24 New International Version (NIV)

God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”

How about King David - does God have thoughts?

How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Psalm 139:17

How about the apostles - does God have a body?

Whatever is good and perfect comes to us from God. He is the One Who made all light. He does not change. No shadow is made by His turning. James 1:17

The Lord Jesus said God is spirit
King David said God has vast thoughts
The apostles said God has no shadow
These things they said, I believe.

well the bible said god is omnipresent and obviously god has a physical aspect.

Jeremiah 23:24 “Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him? declares the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the Lord?

Psalm 139:7-10 “Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.”

Isaiah 66
This is what the Lord says:

“Heaven is my throne,
and the earth is my footstool.
Where is the house you will build for me?
Where will my resting place be?
2 Has not my hand made all these things,
and so they came into being?”
declares the Lord.

so its a mind, body, and spirit complex.

In my opinion, Jeremiah 23:24, Psalm 139:7-10, and Isaiah 66:1 proves God's attributes of being omnipresence

1 Kings 8:27 New International Version (NIV)

“But will God really dwell on earth? The heavens, even the highest heaven, cannot contain you. How much less this temple I have built!

2 Chronicles 6:18, 2 Chronicles 2:6

Well, probably my God is different from your God that is why we have a different view on who he is. My God is spirit, invisible, immortal, eternal King and does not have a shadow.

thats because...................heaven and earth are states of mind within God so God said let there be and I AM.

another instance of the trinity; which again relates to the mind, body, and spirit complex.

in this triangle you have
mind = mercury,
body = salt,
spirit = sulphur.

Someone told me, it is like 3-in-1 coffee.
images

I told him, is your god a coffee that I could drink and pee later?

Apostle Paul and the apostles of my Lord Jesus taught this:

1 Corinthians 8:6 New International Version (NIV)

yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.
