So we now have (in this thread) no less than three fiddle factors: Einstein's cosmological constant, Carmeli and Hartnett's "radial velocity" 5th dimension and dark energy - four if you count all the f(R) model alternatives to dark energy as just one. They all end up doing the same thing - explaining (or explaining away) the observation of an accelerating expansion of the universe. We should have a lot more data to work with in the next few years with LSST due to see first light in 2019 and ESA's Euclid telescope set to launch in 2020. If I were a gambling man, my money would be on Einstein/Dark Energy - but who knows.

It is even easier than that, go here GreatHim and put any number up to ten million and one into the pi calculator and that many numbers of pi will be divided by the 31102 verses in the Bible and cyclically the remainder is the verse....Fulfilling "That Which is Perfect" 1 Corinthians 13:10... And why is there always a clown that tries to make it harder than it is...

Creation scientist Josh Hartnett says Mose Carmeli first formed a new model, called cosmological relativity, and through this model predicted that the universe would in fact appear to be accelerating. He made this prediction in 1996, two years before the publication of the Type Ia supernova data and the introduction of the idea of "dark energy" into cosmological discussions. In making this prediction, Carmeli did not invoke either dark energy or dark matter.

Einstein thought the cosmos unbounded. What we realize that there is an observational boundary not a finite contained realty as was first speculated at the discovery of the big bang. So Einstein is correct the cosmos is infact unbounded is wrong it most certainly is not static it's unbounded it cannot fit any scientific or religious definition.

Sorry, but you don't get to use velocity as another independent variable since it is dependent on both r and t. So the whole model implodes on itself.

Except that velocity is not an independent coordinate as required for a line element like this. Furthermore, the form of line line element is ad hoc at best. It doesn't come from a more general theory allowing for the solution of the coefficients (unlike what happens in general relativity). So the whole 'theory' collapses on itself before it gets going.
