Jesus was resurrected but not crucified

In Quran:

That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah";- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:-
Nay, Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise;-
— Qur'an, sura 4 (An-Nisa) ayat 157-158

In Bible:

39Going a little farther, He fell facedown and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me. Yet not as I will, but as You will.” Matthew 26:39

41And He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, where He knelt down and prayed, 42“Father, if You are willing, take this cup from Me. Yet not My will, but Yours be done.” Luke 22:41-42

35Going a little farther, He fell to the ground and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour would pass from Him. 36“Abba, Father, He said, “all things are possible for You. Take this cup from Me. Yet not what I will, but what You will.” Mark 14:35-36

Jesus asks God to take the pain and torment of the crucifixion away from him, while knowing Judas went to them and they were coming to arrest him and God doesn't leave a prayer of a Prophet with such a high rank as Jesus the Messiah pbuh, so God saved him from the torment of the crucifixion and sent down the lookalike of Jesus who was made to resemble him and was crucified instead of him.

So what did he show doubting Thomas John 20:25 So the other disciples told him, "We have seen the Lord!" But he said to them, "Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe."

Doesn't make a lot of sense without the crucifixion huh?

so God saved him from the torment of the crucifixion and sent down the lookalike of Jesus who was made to resemble him and was crucified instead of him.
This is just making stuff up, that isn't within any texts.

3:55 And when Allah said: O Isa, I am going to terminate the period of your stay (on earth) and cause you to ascend unto Me and purify you of those who disbelieve and make those who follow you above those who disbelieve to the day of resurrection; then to Me shall be your return, so l will decide between you concerning that in which you differed.

5:117 I did not say to them aught save what Thou didst enjoin me with: That serve Allah, my Lord and your Lord, and I was a witness of them so long as I was among them, but when Thou didst cause me to die, Thou were the watcher over them, and Thou art witness of all things.

4:157-158 And their saying: Surely we have killed the Messiah, Isa son of Marium, the messenger of Allah; and they did not kill him nor did they crucify him, but it appeared to them so (like Isa) and most surely those who differ therein are only in a doubt about it; they have no knowledge respecting it, but only follow a conjecture, and they killed him not for sure. No indeed, Allah raised him up to Him; and Allah has been Ever-Mighty, Ever-Wise.

Plus learn how to read properly, if the Quran says, 'they' thought they killed him and crucified him; yet it appeared to them so....

This means it happened, it just wasn't them who were the ones in control; Allah was the one who prophesied it would happen to Yeshua, before it happened, and is 'the best of planners'.

There are more accounts of the crucifixion, including the Quran; so you can stand against all accounts on your own or agree with what was ascribed. :innocent:

P.s The version of the Quran which says 'Isa was replaced with another person', and even inserts words that are not there in translation, would normally be called a corruption.

Luke 22:42 records Jesus praying; "Father, if you want to, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, let, not my will, but yours take place." So, it is clear to me Jesus was submitting himself to God's will. I do not believe Jesus was requesting that he not die, but rather that he not be condemned as a blasphemer against God.The idea that he was not impaled has absolutely no evidence to support it, IMO. In fact, had Jesus not died, the ransom for sins would not have been paid, and prophecies regarding the Messiah would remain unfulfilled.

, so God saved him from the torment of the crucifixion and sent down the lookalike of Jesus who was made to resemble him and was crucified instead of him.

I would offer that the "substitute" notion is not fully supported by the Ayah of Surih 4:157... taking the translation above.

."...but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them."

Consider that the body of Jesus could be crucified and abused as it was but His Spirit could not be crucified or "killed".

Now consider Surih 2:154

"And say not of those who are slain in the way of Allah: "They are dead." Nay, they are living, though ye perceive (it) not."

The verse focuses on the reality of the spirit of the martyr who was slain! The Spirit is living.

For ultimate and established proof for lookalike of Jesus pbuh read book of Ahmed al-Hasan pbuh - 13th Disciple

http://www.saviorofmankind.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/13th-Disciple.pdf

And of course since he is look-alike obviously people will assume him to be Jesus.

Luke 22:42 records Jesus praying; "Father, if you want to, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, let, not my will, but yours take place." So, it is clear to me Jesus was submitting himself to God's will. "The crucified one refuses to say that he is the King of the Children of Israel? So why would he refuse if he was Jesus℗ who came to inform the people that he is the King of the Children of Israel?! Does this not prove clearly that the one who was arrested and crucified was another person other than Jesus℗, the King of the Children of Israel, and for this reason he refused to say that he is the King of the Children of Israel. [ … 11 Now Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor asked him, “Are you the King of the Jews?” Jesus said, “You have said so.” …] Matthew 27:11. [ … 2 And Pilate asked him, “Are you the King of the Jews?” And he answered him, “You have said so.” … ] Mark 15:2." - from 13th Disciple by Ahmed al-Hasan, page 54

"The crucified one’s address to Mary the mother of Jesus℗ proves that he is not her son; otherwise, is it appropriate for a son to address his mother as “Woman”? Yes, it is correct for the crucified one to ad- Who is the Crucified Look-alike? 55 dress her with this word if he is not Jesus℗, and his addressing her with this word is to clarify that she is not his mother and that he is not Jesus, peace be upon him.* † [25 But standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. 26When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son!” 27Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!”] John 19:25-27." - from 13th Disciple by Ahmed al-Hasan, pages 54-55

"[11 So Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword into its sheath; shall I not drink the cup that the Father has given me?”] John 18:11. These words came from the crucified one during his arrest, and they are the words of someone who accepts the matter of crucifixion and has no problem with it, rather considers the hesitation in drinking the cup of crucifixion an unacceptable matter, and not a consideration for him, and he cannot think about it, [“shall I not drink the cup that the Father has given me?!!!”] He does not merely ask, but rather wonders with exclamation, [“Shall I not drink”], so how can it be imagined that these words come from the same person who said before the arrest of the crucified one, [36“Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Remove this cup from me.”]?! Mark 14:36. Who is the Crucified Look-alike? Therefore, they are two entirely different people, so the person who was arrested and crucified is a person other than Jesus℗ who requested not to be crucified. - from 13th Disciple by Ahmed al-Hasan, pages 56-57

"6. What is present in the Gospel of Judah. And it is an artifactual Gospel that was found and dates back to before Islam, thus it is not possible to undermine it by saying that it is fabricated by the Muslims. Therefore, it is a Christian Gospel and it was circulating between the early Christians. And the reproduction and circulation of the Gospel of Judah between some of the early Christians indicates their disagreement during that period about the identity of the crucified one. And this is a passage from the Gospel of Judah which clarifies that the crucified one is not Jesus℗; moreover, it specifies the name of the crucified one, his attributes and the attributes of his progeny, Gospel of Judah, Scene 3: [Judah said, “Master, could it be that my lineage is under the control of the rulers?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Come, that I [ … two lines missing … ], but that you will grieve much when you see the kingdom and all its generation.” When he heard this, Judah said to him, “What good is it that I have received it? For you have set me apart for that generation.” Jesus answered and said, “You will become the thirteenth, and you will be cursed by the other generations — and you will come to rule over them. In the last days they will curse your ascent [47] to the holy [generation]”] [“But you will exceed all of them. For you will sacrifice the man that clothes me.”] [“Already your horn has been raised, your wrath has been kindled, your star has shown brightly, and your heart has … [57]”] Moreover, the passage shows clearly that the crucified one was not Jesus, [But you will exceed all of them. For you will sacrifice the man that clothes me.] Verily, he presents the name of the crucified one as being Judah, and verily Judah in this passage is not Judas Iscariot, the traitor who went to the Jewish clerics and brought the temple officers to arrest the crucified one. So the Judah who is crucified instead of Jesus as in the text of the Gospel of Judah is a righteous person and he sacrifices himself for the sake of Jesus...." - from 13th Disciple by Ahmed al-Hasan, pages 57-58

Imam Mohammed al-Baqir pbuh, the 5th Shia guiding Imam from the progeny of Mohammed pbuhap in regards to lookalike of Jesus which took his place for the crucifixion:

And in the narration in the interpretation of Ali the son of Ibrahim that Abi Ja'afar (PBUH) said:" Verily, Jesus (PBUH) promised his disciples the night in which Allah raised him, so they all gathered by night time, and they are twelve men, so he made them enter a house then he came out to them from an eye in the corner of the house, and he was shaking his head from water, then he said, verily Allah is raising me to him this hour, and He is my purifier from the Jews, so who among you is to have my ghost thrown upon him that he may be killed and crucified and be with me in my status/level? So a young man from them said, I am, O spirit of Allah, so he said, so you are he". Then he (PBUH) said "Verily the Jews came in demand for Jesus (PBUH) from their night…and they took the young man whom the ghost of Jesus (PBUH) was thrown upon so he was killed and crucified)"

Turning to the fact that the word Judah means praise or Ahmed in Arabic, meaning the name of the Mahdi or the Savior or the Comforter promised at the end times; it is thus clarified that the intended one by the other Judah who was made to resemble Jesus, and was crucified instead of him, and who Jesus℗ spoke to, saying that he will return and rule at the end times, is the Savior and the Comforter and the Mahdi, Ahmed, mentioned in the Torah, the Gospel, the Quran and the Will of the Messenger of God Muhammad, peace be upon him and his progeny." - from Book- 13th Disciple by Ahmed al-Hasan a.s. page 46.

Will of the Prophet Muhammad pbuhap on the night of his death:
The Prophet Muhammad pbuhap said to Ali bin Abi Talib on the night of his death,

“O Father of Al-Hassan, bring me a pen and a paper”, and he dictated his will until he came to a position where he said, “O Ali, there will be twelve Imams after me and after them there will be twelve Mahdis. You, O Ali, are the first of the twelve Imams, Allah has named you in his heavens Ali Al- Mortatha, The Prince of the Believers, the Grand Truthful, the Bright Differentiator between truth and falsehood, the trusted, and the Mahdi (the rightly guided). These names may not to be truly attributed to other than you. O Ali, you are my successor over my family, their living and their deceased, and over my women. Whomever you affirm shall find me tomorrow, and whomever you reject I am innocent of her. I will not see her and she will not see me on the Day of Resurrection. And you are the successor (Khalifa) upon my nation after me. If death approaches you, hand it over to my son Al-Hassan the very beneficial. Then if death approaches him, let him hand it over to my son Al- Hussein, the martyr, the pure, the assassinated. Then if death approaches him, let him hand it over to his son, the master of the worshippers, Ali. Then if death approaches him, let him hand it over to his son, Muhammed Al-Baqir. Then if death approaches him, let him hand it over to his son, Jafar Al-Sadiq. Then if death approaches him, let him hand it over to his son, Musa Al-Kathum. Then if death approaches him, let him hand it over to his son, Ali Al-Retha. Then if death approaches him, let him hand it over to his son Muhammad, the trustworthy, the pious. Then if death approaches him, let him hand it over to his son Ali, the advisor. Then if death approaches him, let him hand it over to his son Al-Hassan, the virtuous. Then if death approaches him, let him hand it over to his son, Muhammad the Entrusted of the Holy Family of Muhammad peace be upon them. So these are the twelve Imams. Then after him, there will be twelve Mahdis. So if death approaches him, let him hand it over to his son, the first of the close ones, he has three names, one like mine and my father’s: Abdullah (servant of Allah), Ahmad and the third name is The Mahdi (rightly guided). He is the first of the believers.”

1. In Gospel of Judah, Jesus pbuh tells Judah that he is the one to resemble him.
2. When lookalike of Jesus was captured, Judas Iscariot points towards him, so this Judah is a different one.
3. In a supplication from Prophet Mohammed pbuhap for Imam Ali pbuh he says make among his descendants the lookalike of Jesus.
4. Judah means Ahmed in Arabic.
5. From Ahlulbayt an infallable named Ahmed is the son and successor of Imam Al-Mahdi pbuh mentioned in Prophet's will.

Muffled

Jesus in me

I believe this is pure fantasy.

I believe God sticks with His plans and gives no occasion to the flesh.

I believe the spirit can't be killed but if the spirit is in the body it is still Jesus and Jesus can be killed. The fact is that the spirit is not in the body because it leaves and then the body dies.

Lu 23:46 And Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said this, he gave up the ghost.

I believe Crucifixion is a process which leads to death. If the person does not die then the crucifixion although started has not taken place. It would be like if you went to see a movie but walked out in the middle. Then you didn't really see the movie only a part of it.

Gospel of Judah, Scene 3: [Judah said, “Master, could it be that my lineage is under the control of the rulers?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Come, that I [ … two lines missing … ], but that you will grieve much when you see the kingdom and all its generation.” When he heard this, Judah said to him, “What good is it that I have received it? For you have set me apart for that generation.” Jesus answered and said, “You will become the thirteenth, and you will be cursed by the other generations — and you will come to rule over them. In the last days they will curse your ascent [47] to the holy [generation]”] [“But you will exceed all of them. For you will sacrifice the man that clothes me.”] [“Already your horn has been raised, your wrath has been kindled, your star has shown brightly, and your heart has … [57]”]

"And in the previous passage: First: Judah is made to resemble Jesus and is crucified instead of him, and he sacrifices himself. Second: Judah will come at the end times to prevail. So Judah who is mentioned in some passages of the Gospel such as the previous one must be other than Judas Iscariot* who turned Jesus in as in the end of the Gospel of Judah, [They approached Judas and said to him, “What are you doing here? You are Jesus’ disciple.” Judas answered them as they wished. And he received some money and handed him over to them.] Gospel of Judah, Scene 3. Turning to the fact that the word Judah means praise or Ahmed in Arabic, meaning the name of the Mahdi or the Savior or the Comforter promised at the end times; it is thus clarified that the intended one by the other Judah who was made to resemble Jesus, and was crucified instead of him, and who Jesus℗ spoke to, saying that he will return and rule at the end times, is the Savior and the Comforter and the Mahdi, Ahmed, mentioned in the Torah, the Gospel, the Quran and the Will of the Messenger of God Muhammad, peace be upon him and his progeny." - from Book- 13th Disciple by Ahmed al-Hasan a.s. page 46.

Lookalike of Jesus pbuh from the descendants of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib a.s.

And it was narrated that the crucified look-alike is from the lineage of the Messenger of God℗: The Messenger of God Muhammad℗ said in his supplication for Ali bin Abi Talib℗, ﴾“O God! Grant him the patience of Moses, and make among his descendants the look-alike of Jesus℗. O God! Indeed, You are my vicegerent upon him and upon his progeny and his kind and purified lineage from whom You have removed uncleanliness and impurity.”﴿*

I believe the fantasies of writers who did not have the Spirit of God do not serve as proof.
