The Gospels. Any 'Difficult' verses?

So, Jesus isn't seeking glory, but the truth is. How exactly does the truth seek glory? Does deception seek glory too? How about frugality? Do these inert things seek?
Inert means "lacking the ability or strength to move." But, I think it is truth that moves everything. Don't you?

I think truth and deception can't be compared because truth always reigns but deception only rules when it wants something. Maybe truth does not want anything except glory.

Does frugality seek glory? That is a good question. It seems to me that frugality is about NOT doing something. So, no, I think it does not seek.

Those were good questions! I am going to like that post. :)

Omega2xx said there were no verses in the gospels that hasn't been resolved in his studies. I'd like him to comment on these five that are all on one subject.

JOHN 12 : 47 "As for the person who hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge him."

JOHN 12 : 48 "There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; that very word which I have spoke will condemn him at the last day."

JOHN 8 : 50 "I am not seeking glory for myself; but there is one seeks it, and he is the judge."

JOHN 8 : 15 "You judge by human standards; I pass judgment on no one."

JOHN 5 : 22&23 "Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father."

I may have said it awkwardly, but I meant I have resolved them in my own mind. That is subject to change if someone present them an a context I have not considered.

Then how have the verses I presented been resolved in your mind? Since you stated your religion, I presume you believe in a god that does judge.

I thought I answered them. I don't remember what I had for lunch yesterday, and I don't remember your questions.

God does judge unbelievers at the end of the age

Jesus said his words were Spirit and they give life. His meaning of temple was not the literal temple. he meant his body. The apostles were given the Spirit at Pentecost. Their words written in Scripture are Spirit.

What is mankind's definition of righteous? A moral person, right? It's not the Spirit's definition to understand Scripture.
2 Peter 2:7 "Lot, a righteous man" He was going to throw his 2 daughters out to be raped.
JAMES 2:25 "Rahab the prostitute considered righteous"
Abraham fathered children by 5 women, 2 were his wives.

All three trusted in God. That's the Spirit's definition for you to use.

PSALM 9 : 8 "He will judge the world in righteousness"

Jesus said:
JOHN 5 : 30 "I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just"

The churches have taken their meaning of justice instead of the Spirits' Here is the Spirits':
ZECHARIAH 7 : 9 "This is what the Lord Almighty says: 'Administer TRUE justice; show mercy and compassion to one another."

So, Jesus said he judged only what he heard and his judgment would show mercy and compassion. When Jesus comes back the final day what do the wicked ask?

REVELATION 6 : 16 "they called to the mountains and the rocks, 'Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb."

So, God says:
JEREMIAH 18 : 17 "I will show them my back and not my face in the day of their trouble."

PSALM 143 : 7 "Do not hide your face from me or I will be like those who go down to the pit."

Another word to define - "WRATH". God's wrath is allowing you to do it your way. It's always something bad because people are doing the opposite of what God tells them.

Why are the people running away from God in the end? They run because the churches have gotten them to believe in a god that punishes his children. They say they will burn in the fire. Unfortunately God's appearance looks like a devouring fire. A wicked person is one that sides with Satan thinking God is not agape love (unconditional love).

PSALM 9 : 16&17 "The Lord is known by his justice (mercy and compassion); the wicked are ensnared by the works of their hands (they've made up this vengeful god that is going to burn people). The wicked return to the grave, ALL nations (people) that forget God."

Peter says the earth is going to explode at the second coming(2Pet3:10). It says God is coming back with New Jerusalem to rescue us before it blows. So, what's the problem?

ZECHARIAH 2 : 5 "And I myself will be a wall of fire around it."

You're raised from your grave to a planet about to explode and you see this huge wall of fire. What do the one's that preach a god that burns his children do?

ISAIAH 2 : 19 "Men flee to caves in the rocks and to holes in the ground from dread of the Lord and the splendor of his majesty (his appearance), when he rises to shake the earth."

God asks, "What's wrong with you".

ISAIAH 53 : 4&5 "Will evil doers never learn................There they were, overcome with dread, where THERE WAS NOTHING TO DREAD."

I could go into a lot more detail, but almost everyone is too willing to reject the truth as Jesus said they would.

All that you have posted is good. Could I press you to synthesize what you are trying to present into one sentence. (I'm sorry, but I'm late in coming to this thread)
