I like old Cradle of Filth which was actually my first re-introduction to "black metal" after about 9 years of being a classical music snob.

I liked old Cradle quite a bit, the more they go on the less I like it.
I think they have become too commercialized.

I had a friend who thought he was hot s**t because he looked like a popular white rap "artist", he tried and tried to turn me on to this rap crap with stuff from "Three 6 Mafia" and others who referenced the devil in their crap jive. I told him they can jive and rap all day long about the devil but I simply don't find any of it, the "music"/loud beats, inspirational or bad a** or kick butt. Just a lot of mediocre, blah, blah, blah, bull crap!

Check out the Finnish black metal band Horna. Some of the most brilliant music I've ever heard.
Just listened to some of their works, I do like me some old school style black metal

Yeah, Horna is one of favorite bands. The tight knit Finnish scene is extremely underrated.
Yeah, I have some up on YouTube.
I had a cast on when playing the guitar part, and my clean vocals suck. I think my screams are alright, though. Sorry about the rhythm mistakes...

Used to listen to them when I was very young, my "friends" dad introduced me to the band. I tried listening to them for a short while and was not impressed at all.
