What is wrong with those people who dress to look sexy?

Some years ago, John T. Malloy did a number of studies on the attractiveness of women's make up. He found that men consistently rated women more attractive without make up than with make up. The one exception to this was women over the age of 50 or so. They were rated more attractive with make up than without. Malloy concluded that younger women who wished to maximize their attractiveness should either wear very little make up -- so little that someone would need to look twice to be sure you were wearing it -- or they should wear no make up at all. Naturally, Malloy's findings have never gotten much attention, given the billions of dollars the cosmetics industry invests in convincing young women they need make up to be their most attractive.
This reminds me of an observation I made last week or the week before; very few women where I'm in university seem to wear makeup, at least while in class. I think the girls when I was in high school were wearing more makeup than these young women today.

That's quite interesting. Thanks for sharing that.

I taught junior high. Back then the very worst by far were the ones who had just discovered it, or had recently gotten permission from their parents. Some were just brutal, and others used it without parental permission, and could be seen heading for the girls' washroom right after school to wash it all off. It was rather funny to watch. We were in a school where the kids moved while the teachers had home rooms. One kid kept some in every desk in each room she went to. There was stealing, sharing, yapping, and all that great stuff young adolescents get into. I knew most of them from elementary, as I'd taught them. So we'd say things like, 'Not enough' to some kid who was already way overdone.

I've noticed that too -- the kids who've just discovered make up tend to way overdo it. But isn't that natural? I usually smile when I see some kid over made to the hilt --- not just at her, but at myself too, because I can still remember when I was young enough to find make up on girls exciting and an indication of their "sophistication".

because an old man trying to tell a young woman how to dress marks the man as a fool just as surely as if he'd spit into the wind.

Please.... Aren't you like a communist/socialist or something?

Don't they in the communist world have a strict dress code?

What was even funnier was the effect of pheromones on the boys ... they had no clue. One girl would walk down the hallway, and be surrounded by 6 young men all looking clueless, trying their best not to read the words on her top, but not doing that well at the control. Only a year earlier they all hated girls. I found it funny in adult men who didn't realise it either. We had a good looking secretary, and myself and the other secretary would watch and laugh.

I'm going to assume that a six foot tall, purple, talking squirrel just jogged past my window -- because that makes a whole world more sense than your question.

Is it some kind of competition? A league where they compete with one another. Is it a form of arrogance, because they want to promote a message “I am better then you”? Or, is it something else? Center of attention? Why would a wife leave the house in the sexy clothing? Sometimes I even see little children age 8 imitating those people, wearing tight yoga pants or short dresses. Some others even go to the gym with yoga pants and no underwear what so ever. What are they promoting? What are they trying to archive?

What is wrong with those people who dress to look erotic?

Your post is nonsensical. People who are wearing clothing, see-through or not, are not naked.

@ Sunstone ...What did the squirrel say? "Hey you old communist there! You wanna come out and ogle young girls with me?" "How about you help me find some nuts?" "Psst, I have something I want to show you."

Actually, it was a she squirrel, and she was trying to entice me into escorting her to my favorite nude resort. I swear it's true! You can't make this stuff up!

What is wrong with people who are afraid of a woman's sexuality? Does it scare you that you get a tingly feeling in your pants when you look at a woman and that you have no control over it? Are you so weak willed that you'd rather control women then learn how to control your own desires?

But did you fall for it? It seems to me you should. Not very often does one get the chance to cavort with a purple female squirrel. She must have had quite the bushy tail, no?
I'd go with her if I was there ... for sure.

Turn down a chance to frolic nude in the February mists with a busy-tailed purple squirrel? Not me! I wouldn't think of such a thing! It would be even more perfect if you'd come along!

Oh I'll be there all right. Watch for the creepy guy trying to hide behind the volleyball pole.

Well, maybe you live in the "cave" and don't get out much. I see lots of husbands stare at them. Don't you?
You know, in a civilized society, staring at someone is generally considered quite impolite. Perhaps these men should take a lesson in basic etiquette. Then they would act like adults instead of slobbering like dogs.

How do you notice what a woman is wearing underneath her yoga pants when you're lowering your gaze..last time I checked men were commanded to lower their gaze..

24:30:
"Tell the believing men that they should reduce/lower (يغضوا) their gaze/vision and guard their private parts..."

My advice to you is life is too short,do not focus on others but focus on yourself. Evaluate your own actions and work on improving yourself. One of the companions of the prophet said :
"One who contemplates his own flaws is too busy to consider other people’s faults"

“Sufficient is a person’s own defect (in himself) that he tries to pick and look for faults in other people, when he himself has those same faults in himself (and does not recognize them)!”
