Brazil sends 200 troops to control lethal violence sparked by police strike

Brazil’s president has ordered 200 troops to the south-eastern state of Espírito Santo, where a police strike in recent days sparked a wave of violence including what is already believed to be dozens of murders.

Local media reported that as many as 50 people have died during the period, an unusually high death toll for the state in such a short period. But a state security spokesman said the government has not been able to make an official tally.

People naturally are violent without being corrupted. Anyone becomes violent if they are upset enough.

I've seen a few of Soviet's posts and I don't know they come off vaguely racist for lack of a better word? Is ethnicists a word? Xenophobic? Attempts at elitism? Either way they (Soviet) shows no regard for the individuals who live in those countries or their struggles, instead demeaning them and their faiths, and overall assuming their values are lacking and behind. It's disgusting.

"corrupt" is your opinion ,in which you are entitled to, but blaming riots on a statue of Jesus (if in fact that is what you are doing) in a country that is predominantly Catholic is a huuuuge stretch. Are they somehow bad people deserving the wrath of God because they don't subscribe to your particular belief?
